By Gerald Roliz, CNC

You can be healthy without pharmaceutical medicationsreally.

Forget the sick care paradigm and stop obsessing about your illness. You can live a healthy lifestyle. A global subculture called the Health Catchers does, and Gerald Roliz shows you how in his book The Pharmaceutical Myth (Createspace, May 11, 2013).

The Pharmaceutical Myth is based on Rolizs controversial lectures, where he has captivated doctors alike with his take on the risks of pharmaceuticals and how to support the restoration of organ function with whole food nutrition and herbs.

Health Catchers, he argues, are no longer interested in catching disease. Instead they desire to catch health. They have abandoned the sick care (sick/Rx drug/side effect/Rx drug) and instead mastered the ancient medicinewhole food nutritionto create vibrant lifestyles in the here and now, never fearing when it ends. The Health Catcher knows that the medical doctor doesnt have all the answers and medical offices arent working to restore health. Money alone does not solve all health problems. The goal is to escape the sick care model entirely, not perish within it.

You can find an effective doctora healer without experiencing unwanted side effects or dangerous drug interactions. You can eliminate 100% of your health problems, regain your youth and become the model of health.

  • STOP worshipping people who prescribe medications. It is a fantasy that you will redeem your health and live optimally well while taking pharmaceuticals. START supporting your body to regenerate now instead of waiting for when you are least capable.
    • STOP seeing death and sickness as your end goal. It is a fantasy that pharmaceuticals alone will solve your health issues and make you happy. Health is nothing without nutrient dense foods. START healing and living more.
    • STOP blaming your genes and thinking if only my parents had good health. START taking responsibility and learning the skills and technologies that will allow you to achieve health and wellness forever (even if you are doctor).

Get ready to disrupt your reality, reset your system, and take the first steps to joining other Health Catchers. The Pharmaceutical Myth is the ultimate guide to improving your health and understanding the steps to take.

For my mother, who taught me to shine lightin places of darkness.

One of the biggest tragedies of humancivilization is the precedence of
chemical therapy over nutrition. It's a substitution of artificialtherapy

    TABLE OF CONTENTS
    INTRODUCTION

As children, we are given the impression thatour medical doctor has the solution to any health issue. This sametrust also extends to the government health agencies (FDA, EPA,USDA, AMA) which were founded to protect us, the consumers, fromharmful poisons, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and processed foods. Our unquestioned faith has led us to become a fearful nationfocused on disease awareness and detection, but oblivious ofprevention and resolution. Diseases plague us while health andwellness fail to be restored.

Despite distressing symptoms, lab test afterlab test, we are told, You are fine. All the lab results show thateverything is normal. Or we are prescribed a pain killer, yet themedical doctor fails to investigate the cause of the pain. We fillour prescriptions, uncertain if our doctor provided all theinformation about the possible side effects and risks.

I used to educate medical doctors on therisks of certain medications side effects, drug-to-druginteractions, liver damage and even death. The doctors were to passthis information to every patient they prescribed a drug for. Howis it that I know about medication risks that your doctors haveneglected to share with you? I worked as a pharmaceutical salesrepresentative promoting the most popular medications of ourtime.

In 2001, nearing completion of myundergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley, Iasked to shadow a former classmate for a day. He spoiled hisclients with extravagant dinners, premium seating at sporting andmusical events, and weekly golf outings on the company dime. He,himself was provided a fully loaded car, gasoline and car insurancecoverage, and a virtually unlimited entertainment budget.

That was the life I wanted, so I worked as apharmaceutical rep from 2001 to 2006. I promoted commonlyprescribed medications, including a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) anda selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), which thepharmaceutical companies referred to as blockbuster drugs becauseof the volume of revenues they generated. I increased the marketshare of the products I was hired to promote by disguising therisks of medications as safety and tolerability profiles. Becauseof my exceptional performance, I received quarterly bonuses.

However, after five years, I felt somethingwasnt right. In every medical doctors office, I saw sick peoplesitting in crowded waiting rooms, not getting well. The medicaldoctors I spoke with rarely mentioned a patient who improved theirhealth. The lack of congruence between volumes of patients takingmedications and few becoming well presented me with a large, yellowDead End sign. Time to stop and choose another route in life.

I trained as a Certified NutritionalConsultant and opened my practice. I discovered that many of mynutritional clients had symptoms that resembled the side effects ofspecific medications. My mission became to increase awareness ofspecific medications most medical doctors prescribe without fulldisclosure of their risks. You will gain a perspective on currentstandards of medical practice in America, as well as how to avoidits shortcomings with wise nutrition.
