W hen Apex Legends was released in early
2019, it almost immediately became one of
the most popular video games in the world.
Apex is one of many competitive online battle royale
games to be released in recent years. In battle royale

be unlocked.

games, a large number of players start out in a big,
open level. They search around to gather weapons
and other equipment, then battle each other to be the
last one standing. Meanwhile, the playable part
of the level gets smaller and smaller. This forces
players together so they cannot hide until the end of a
match.

Some of the most popular battle royale games
include Fortnite and PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds .
Each one offers its own unique twist on the battle
royale formula, but they all follow the same basic
rules. Even with so much competition from other great
games, Apex stands out as one of the best. One thing
that really sets it apart from other battle royale games
is its variety of playable characters.

The playable characters in Apex are called
Legends. Each Legend has a unique appearance and
personality. They also have different abilities that can
be used on the battlefield. This means playing as dif
ferent Legends offers different experiences. If you
ever get bored of playing as one character, you can
simply try a new one. This gives Apex plenty of
variety, even if you play the game a lot.

New Releases

When you first download Apex Legends , you will be able to choose from six
different Legends. But you will probably notice a couple of additional choices
that are gray when it comes time to pick your character. These are unlockable
characters. There are two ways to make them playable. First, you can simply
play the game. As you win matches and level up, you will earn something called
Legend Tokens. If you save up enough of these, you can spend them to unlock new
Legends. If you dont want to wait, you can also spend real money to buy Legend
Tokens and unlock the characters that way.

New unlockable Legends are added to the game every so often. So far, there
are three of them. However, the developers of Apex Legends will continue to add
more. This means you will probably never run out of new things to unlock and try
out as you play.

When you start playing, the Legends might not
seem all that different at first. They can all run at the
same speed and jump the same height, even though
some might look a lot heavier than others. They can all
wear the same shields and use the same weapons. So
what is it that really sets them apart?

Each Legend has three abilities that none of the
others can use. The first is called a passive ability.
This is a bonus effect that is active at all times while

At any point during a match, you can check
your Legends abilities from the inventory
screen.

playing as a certain Legend. For example, some
Legends have passive abilities that help them notice
enemies more easily or heal faster.

The second ability is called a tactical ability.
This is a special action that you can perform at any
time by hitting the right button. Be careful, though.
Your tactical ability needs a few seconds to recharge
each time you use it. This means you cannot use it over
and over again, so you have to choose your timing
carefully.

Finally, all Legends have an ultimate ability. Like
tactical abilities, ultimate abilities are special actions
that you can perform when you think the time is right.
They are usually even more effective than tactical abil
ities. However, they also take a lot longer to recharge.
They do not start out charged at the beginning of a
match, either. This means you have to survive for at
least a couple of minutes to get a chance to use your
ultimate ability the first time in a match.

A meter at the bottom-center of the screen
shows how long it will take for your ultimate
ability to charge.

APEX LEGENDS: Characters

Players are always divided into teams of three in
Apex matches. There is no way to play by yourself. At
the start of each match, the three members of a team
take turns choosing which Legends to play as. The
order of the turns is random. Players on the same team
cannot play as the same Legend at the same time. This
means you might not always get to play as your favor
ite character. Dont worry, though. All of the characters
are fun, and none of them is any stronger or weaker
than another. Try learning how to use the abilities of
at least three different characters. This will ensure that
you can always play as a familiar Legend, no matter
which order you get to choose in.

It is also a good idea to pick Legends that work
well with your teammates choices. For example, if
your teammates are both playing Legends who focus
on attack skills, try choosing a healer. If you are
playing with real-life friends, you can even decide
which characters to use ahead of time. You can also
try to plan out a strategy for what youll do during the
match. But you cant predict everything that will
happen, so you should always be ready to change
