    Clutter Trouble

    • Is your home filled with stuff?
    • Want to declutter but not sure how?
    • Are you longing for some space in your hectic life?

As a busy, modern mama, you know there must be more to life than stuffing clothes back into too-full closets, finding ways to cook dinner around mountains of mess on kitchen counters and stumbling on toys left all over the floor.

You have heard about decluttering and know it could be an answer to your woes. Maybe you have even read about it and given it a go. After all, the end result sounds so invitingeasily finding something to wear, having a smooth, clear surface to chop vegetables on and avoiding the agony of stepping on a piece of LEGO!

But some of the instructions sound far-fetched, abstract or just too hard.

You need easy, practical tips to help you declutter in a realistic way that addresses the fact that you have lots of demands on your time, other people in your home to think about and that you dont want to become an extreme minimalist with only one towel to your name.

Even busy mamas like you can embrace minimalism in the best way that suits you and your family. In fact, decluttering can be easier, less time consuming and more fun than you think.

    You really want to declutter.

The trouble is, you dont know how to start.

    Declutter and Thrive

In less than a couple of hours, this book suggests practical ways to declutter your home and your life. There are no hard and fast methods of how to declutter the right way. Instead, this guide offers an adaptable game plan specially designed for the busy mama to make decluttering as easy as possible.

Not only will this book show you how to start decluttering, but it will give you guidance on how to keep up the momentum and finish it completely without it taking eternity.

It answers all your burning questions such as what minimalism is and how it applies to you, how to deal with the emotions evoked by sentimental items and what to do if your screwdriver, bra or tax returns dont spark joy but you feel like you have to keep them anyway!

In addition to decluttering guidance, this book provides ways to organize your remaining things and helps you find the best ways to get rid of items you no longer want so they dont end up in a landfill, but instead in a new home with someone who loves and uses them.

In the final few chapters, this book cuts through the confusion around changing your consumer behavior so you can keep your house in order, provides compelling reasons why minimalism is for everyone and explains how decluttering your home can lead to life improvements beyond your wildest dreams.

You may not believe it now, but you will move from just coping to thriving.

    Mama on a Mission

I am not a Japanese tidying expert. I am simply a wife, a mama of two young kids and a typical suburban home owner with a house full of stuff. And I was sick of not living my best life due to dealing with trivial things. I was sick of feeling like there was no space to breathe. I was sick of being overwhelmed and irritated all the time.

I didnt want to nag the kids to put away their toys every single night. I didnt want to feel resentful about being late because we couldnt find a shoe. There had to be a better way to live. Just because everyone has the same problems doesnt make it right.

So, I did what I always do. I read. A lot. I read dozens of books and articles and searched all over the Internet. I also spent a month decluttering my own home and posting about it every day.

I have distilled the avalanche of advice and my learnings from a month of decluttering into simple and practical tips to help busy, modern mamas, just like you and me, to embrace minimalism in a realistic way plus declutter our homes and our lives once and for all.

Surprisingly, even though I read widely, I couldnt find a clear, gimmick-free guide like this one.

Again, I wrote the book I wanted to read.
