Foreplay
I bet there are things that youd really like to know about sex but you feel like you dont have anyone to ask. Why is one of your testicles bigger than the other? How do you know if a girl has an orgasm? And how fast should you thrust when youre having intercourse? How do you break up? Can you have sex when your girlfriend has her period? How is a guy supposed to act in bed? These are the types of questions I try to answer in this book.
This guidebook is partly about factual things to do with sex and love. Like what part is where on a vagina, what year porn became legal, and what those weird spots on your dick are. But this book is also about relationships, infatuations and having sex. I talk about my own experiences, and other young guys and girls answer questions about their experiences. (I say girls, but Im really talking about young women. Its one of those sexist things that guys are guys, and sound like adults, no matter what their age, but women are often girls. Its a bad habit, but its hard to change.) Sometimes I give advice, but often theres no one piece of advice thats right for everyone. Think of this book as your partner in a conversation. No thoughts or feelings are prohibited here all thoughts and feelings are okay.
One more thing. Some people think they know exactly who you are because youre young and youre a guy. Some might think youre technically inclined. Others might think that you cant keep your hands off girls. I know one thing: I dont know you. You could be anyone. Thats why this book is about a whole range of different sexual facts, feelings and behaviors, so as many readers as possible can have their questions answered. You can choose to read this book from beginning to end, or you can jump around randomly and focus on specic things you want to learn about. The idea behind this book is to talk about things you might not be willing to bring up with your parents, your teachers, or even your friends.
Chapter 1
Penis
In a typical urban landscape, phallic shapes line up as far as the eye can see light posts, church steeples, high-rises, chimneys, antennae. All these phalluses reach and stretch up into the sky as humans walk around below toting their cigars, ice creams and huge camera lenses. Our world is lled with phallic symbols, in various shapes, sizes and varieties.
Personally, I love having a penis. Yes, it can be a pain. Sometimes it gets squished into an uncomfortable position in your pants, and it always stands up at the worst times. It can be a shrunken raisin, a steel rod, something in between and much, much more.
A penis has many shapes. Mine has taken hundreds of different forms, often several in one day. The peniss changeability is part of its magic. I can pee with my penis but also use it for pleasure; it can bring me and others joy. Sometimes it puts on the amazing spectacle of ejaculation, pulling itself into a kind of muscle spasm, totally out of my control, then suddenly spilling over just as impressive every time.
Penis semantics are often confusing. Should we call it cock, dick, weenie, willie, wiener, peter or manhood? In this book, well mostly use penis to keep it simple and straightforward, but dick is catchy, too, so I may throw that one in if I need to change it up.
The Importance of Size
Of course size matters. A huge 40-inch TV screen is nicer to watch than a little 13-inch set, a big apartment is roomier than a small one, and tiny lapdogs are way more annoying than big dogs. But with penises, its different. Theres really no point in having a massive tool. And even small models can work miracles.
Through the ages and all over the planet, men have worried about their penis size. The eternal question is, Do I have a normal-sized penis? In other words, Am I good enough? Ive heard and read tons of similar questions from worried guys. In some cases, theyre terried their partner is going to leave them because theyre too small, even though their penises are average in length. In fact, most of us probably worry about what weve got between our legs.
Theres no doubt that we live in a competitive world where everything is measured, compared and evaluated. Measuring penises in the locker room is commonplace, and lots of guys worry that small penises will mean dissatisfaction in the bedroom. Many guys stubbornly refuse to accept that size isnt all-important, so theyre destined to walk around obsessed and anxiety-ridden about it.
