CAST
Sarah Alles | Melissa
Born in West-Berlin, Sarah Alles landed her first role, at the age of twelve, on German television after a talent scout discovered her during a street casting. Since then she has established her career in TV, film and theatre.
Sarah studied Performing Arts at the renowned Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. After graduating she played opposite Christoph Waltz in the film DAS GEHEIMNIS IM WALD and alongside Marianne Sgebrecht and Christian Oliver in IMMER WIRBEL UM MARIE. In 2015 she adapted Brian Nelsons HARD CANDY for the stage.
Sarah recently played in the crime series HEITER BIS TDLICH AKTE EX (RBB and MDR) and was a guest on DAS TRAUMSCHIFF (Lover Boat). Last year Sarah (together with her colleague Nicole Marischka and director Jan Bolender) developed and produced her first play LIFE IS A BITCH (Vagantenbhne).

Ali Azhar | Khan
Ali Azhar is a French-Moroccan actor born in Paris. Ali trained in Classical Theatre at Acting International, Paris, before training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating in 2017.
Theatre credits include: ALGRIE EN CLATS (Alouettes Theatre, Paris).
Film credits include: MACBETH (Screen Northants/BBC) and DIGITAL PHYSICS (Philadelphia Philms).
MOORMAID marks Alis UK theatre debut.
Moe Bar-El | Mehdi
Moe Bar-El was born in Iran, Shiraz and moved to London with his mother and brother at the age of ten. His first role was Shapur Zamani in the award-winning French TV series LE BUREAU DES LEGENDES in 2016. Since then Moe has appeared in TV and film including: TYRANT (Fox); SNATCH (Sony); DOCTORS (BBC); IN THE ROBOT SKIES (Channel 4) and ZERO (Dark Pictures).
MOORMAID will mark Moes professional theatre debut.
Moe trained at Identity School of Acting and City and Islington College.

Marion Bott | Writer
Marion Bott is a French-German writer and actress working in four different languages. She trained at one of Berlins top screenwriting schools, Filmuniversitt Potsdam-Babelsberg, in Scriptwriting Master of Arts. Marion also trained at East 15 Acting School London where she studied Acting on the Master of Arts course. Before this she went to the Theaterakademie Mannheim and trained at Thtre Jeune Public in Strasbourg France.
Theatre writing credits include: MOORMAID (Arcola Theatre) and CYBER LOVE (Stadttheater Ingolstadt, Germany).
Marion currently has two feature films and two plays in development: BLAUHAUCH and SEVENSEVEN.
Zois Pigadas | Director
Zois Pigadas is a director and theatre practitioner from Greece, and has been teaching acting methodology and dramaturgy for more than fifteen years. Zois is currently head of the BA Acting (International) at East 15 Acting School. He specialises in devising forum theatre, dramaturgy and has developed a methodology of active analysis based on the teachings of Jurij Alschitz.
Directing includes: MOORMAID (Arcola Theatre); DEAR DEAR LADY (RADA Studios); BETWEEN THE CRACKS (Peckham Community Centre) and ERITREA (East 15/Lakeside Theatre).
Sophia Simensky | Designer
Sophia Simensky is a designer working across theatre, film and performance. She studied Design for Performance at Wimbledon College of Art.
Theatre design includes: OPERATION CRUCIBLE (Sheffield Crucible Studio); WAITING FOR WAITING FOR GODOT (St James Theatre); THE HOUSE OF BERNADA ALBA (The Cockpit Theatre); MUSCAVADO (Theatre503); IT NEVER ENDS (Theatre503); DON QUIXOTE (Jacksons Lane); DOG DAYS (Theatre503); THE TAILOR-MADE MAN (Arts Theatre); AN INCIDENT AT THE BORDER (Trafalgar Studios); ORANGES ON THE BRAIN (Pegasus Theatre) and YOU AND ME (Little Soldier Productions).

Tim Boyd | Lighting and Sound Designer
Tim is a lighting designer and production manager, working across theatre, music and dance.
Tim has worked for the National Theatres lighting department, and was resident lighting designer for the Shaw Theatre, London. Tim was also technical director and production manager for the Oxford Playhouse, where he was lighting designer for most of the Oxford Playhouse productions. Tims concert lighting has been international at venues such as Paris Zenith, Hammersmiths Odeon and Wembley Arena. Tim worked with Peter Brook on THE MAHABHARATA (World Tour) and production managed Yael Farbers SeZaR.
Lighting design includes: SEALAND (The Alchemist/Arcola Theatre); LIBERATION (The Alchemist/Edinburgh Fringe, The Place) and Yael Farbers AMAJUBA (South Africa/World Tour/West End).
Tim is currently working with the Exeter Northcott Theatre.
