By looking at a persons face, you can gain valuable insight into their personality, health, and how they navigate in the world.In this illustrated guide, Jennifer Lamonica reveals the sacred tradition of face morphology, an esoteric system that has been passed quietly from rabbi to student as an unbroken oral tradition for more than 4,500 years. She explores the history and development of this ancient art from its origins in Israel and Egypt to its use as the major diagnostic system in Europe until the Enlightenment and its current applications in French medical schools. Sharing the techniques of master face readers, the author details how to read the angles of the profile, as well as palm color and nose shape, to determine a persons temperament, providing health and career insight into each of the four temperaments, including nutritional needs, digestive issues, sleep patterns, health predispositions, and ideal occupational paths. Exploring the Foursquare diagram, developed by French occultist Papus, for highly accurate and detailed facial readings, she explains how to read the front face in combination with planetary shapes, which reveal a persons character; the major facial features, such as eyebrows, which reveal personal inclinations; and the musculature of the face, including expressions, which reveals a persons current mental state. Providing case studies, she examines how to apply face morphology in relationships and in parenting.Exploring the meaning of each facial variation, while also honoring the intuitive impression received at first glance, Lamonica reveals how the ancient science of face reading allows you to compassionately help your loved ones, students, or clients, as well as overcome personal obstacles and better know yourself.

Acknowledgments

I would like to acknowledge the many players involved in the production of this work. First and foremost, Dr. Gerald Epstein, who introduced me to this sacred art and science via his dedication to teaching students this spiritual way of learning. He has influenced my life in so many ways and for this I am deeply grateful. He offered me a safe journey, on a path of light, to truth and self-awareness. This book represents the accumulation of information received at the foot of this master spanning more than three decades. I must also acknowledge, of course, his teacher Madame Colette Aboulker-Muscat for introducing him to this sacred system.

I would like to acknowledge my mother, Rose, and my father, Anthony, for giving me the opportunity to be here in this wonderful life. I want to also thank them for the wisdom and knowing that was passed along to me, not only genetically, but also in their honoring of God in a way that feels so right for me and so easy for me to feel and practice in my life.

I would like to acknowledge Dr. Rebbie Straubing for her marvelous contributions to this book. First, by saying, Just write. You can worry about editing later. Just get it on the paper. I would also like to acknowledge her for her most wonderful illustrations and her tremendous contribution to editing. I thank her for always having my back and for her unswerving support and confidence in me in all the endeavors I have undertaken during our precious thirty-eight-year-long friendship.

A very special thank you goes to Lindy Cacioppo for her tireless hours of transcription and documentation and for being a trustworthy receptacle for all the components of this book as I gathered notes, thoughts, and insights that spanned decades. Her excellent technological savvy along with her contribution to editing were instrumental in bringing this book into tangible form.

I would also like to acknowledge my son, Daniel, for his excellent muscle control that enabled him to demonstrate the muscles of the mouth, and for simply giving me the opportunity to be the mother of such a wonderful sonand how great is that? I would like to acknowledge Rachel Epstein for all her encouragement and help. And a warm thank you to all my patients.

Most of all I would like to acknowledge God for allowing this sacred art and science to be revealed to us.

Is there

Among us;

Divided into creatures

In every other face

Foreword

T he year was 1985. I sat somewhat nervously, notebook on lap, surrounded by a group of my friends and colleagues, all waiting for our minds to be blown and our lives to be changed. The book-lined study of Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Epsteins New York City apartment was our launching pad, and we were all about to buckle up for a wild ride of information that would change the way we saw ourselves and each other, and the way we would come to help our patients.

As our group of chiropractors met, week after week, we all took in the information in our own way, as will all of you sitting in the classroom of this book. Well, thats not unusual. But what was new to us, and is probably new to you too, is that we were realizing that the ways we were different in how we were comprehending our lessons had less to do with things like our note-taking ability or study habits, and more to do with the shape of our nose or the depth of our philtrum (the vertical groove between the nose and the upper lip). What strange land had we stumbled upon? It was the ancient, sacred art of face morphology, and once you make the leap into this perspective, there is no turning back. Once you take the informal oath to look compassionately at all faces with a commitment to honor the sacred and unique expression that each face is, the world suddenly becomes populated with billions of reflections of the Infinite, all revealing their deep and complex nature right there on their face.

Well, that seminar series eventually ended and off we all went to use this material in our chiropractic practices. And as could easily have been predicted, one of us took this material and started using it with a confidence and level of mastery that could only bear the name Jennifer Lamonica. Jennifer is a phlegmatic Lymphatic, a morphological type that is a highly organized repository of information. In fact, when it comes to information that can help her help her patients, I would dare say she is insatiable. Over the years I have watched her study just about every chiropractic technique that crosses her path, and if she can use something she learned in a weekend seminar to help even one of her patients, well, few things make her happier than greeting that patient on Monday with a new way to take their healing even further.
