Christopher Bartlett is Thomas D. Casserly, Jr. emeritus professor of business administration at Harvard Business School. Before joining the HBS faculty, he was a marketing manager with Alcoa in Australia, a management consultant in McKinsey and Companys London office, and general manager of Baxter Laboratories subsidiary company in France. His books include (coauthored with Sumantra Ghoshal): Managing across Borders:The Transnational Solution (1988)named by the Financial Times as one of the 50 most influential business books of the twentieth century; and The Individualized Corporation (1997), winner of the Igor Ansoff Award for the best new work in strategic management and named one of the best business books of the millennium by Strategy+Business magazine. He has also authored or coauthored many 50 chapters or articles which have appeared in leading journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, and The Academy of Management Review. His academic colleagues have elected him a Fellow of the Academy of Management, the Academy of International Business, and the Strategic Management Society.
Peter Bebb has worked as a director, consultant, and project manager in various industries and companies across the world, including Sema Group Consulting, Proudfoot Europe, Kleinwort Benson Investment Management, and James Martin Associates.
Meredith Belbin is a partner in Belbin Associates, a company known principally as the producer of Interplacea company-based, team-role advice system, used internationally. He has written several successful business books, including the European bestseller, Management Teams (3rd ed., Butterworth-Heinemann, 2010). He has been a consultant to the European Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor and the OECD, and a senior associate professor at Cambridge University.
Chip R. Bell is the author or coauthor of 180 books including Magnetic Service: Secrets for Creating Passionately Devoted Customers (with Bilijack R. Bell; Berrett-Koehler, 2006), Customers As Partners (Berrett-Koehler, 1994), Managers As Mentors (Berrett-Koehler, 1998), and Take Their Breath Away: How Imaginative Service Creates Devoted Customers (with John Patterson; Wiley, 2009).
University Professor and Founding Chairman of The Leadership Institute, USC, Warren Bennis has written over 25 booksincluding Still Surprised: A Memoir of a Life in Leadership (with Patricia Ward Biederman; Jossey-Bass, 2010) and many articles on leadership, change, and creative collaboration. He is a consultant for Fortune 500 companies and has served on four U.S. Presidential Commissions. His book, Leaders (reissue, HarperCollins, 2004), was designated by the Financial Times as one of the top 50 business books of all time. An Invented Life (Addison-Wesley, 1993) was nominated for a Pulitzer. Forbes Magazine refers to him as the Dean of leadership gurus.
General Sir Peter de la Billire began his distinguished career with the Durham Light Infantry during the Korean War and later joined the Special Air Service (SAS) in 1956. He received two Military Crosses and a Mention in Dispatches for his work in Oman and the Far East, and faced important military challenges including the Iranian Embassy siege, and the Falklands War. He was first knighted in 1988. When the Gulf War broke out in 1990, he was appointed Commander the British forces. He was subsequently promoted to General was Knighted again, and became a military adviser on Middle East Affairs to the Government. On leaving the Army he became a Main Board Director of Robert Fleming and Chairman of FARM Africa. He is the author of Storm Command and Looking for Trouble (HarperCollins, 1992 and 1994). In 2004 he published Supreme Courage (Little, Brown).
Drayton Bird is founder of Drayton Bird Associates, an agency specializing in direct marketing. For seven years he was a partner of Trenear-Harvey, Bird & Watson, a firm which was sold to Ogilvy and Mather in 1985. As vice chairman and creative director, he helped O & M Direct become the worlds largest direct marketing agency network, and was elected to the worldwide Ogilvy Group board. Drayton is a celebrated speaker and regularly contributes articles to international journals. His three books include the bestseller, Commonsense Direct Marketing (5th ed., Kogan Page, 2007).
Don Blohowiak is executive director of Lead Well, a leadership development firm based in Princeton, New 0Jersey, which consults with organizations and executives worldwide.
