Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing this book and thank you for doing so. This book will discuss the ways in which you can use One Meal a Day Intermittent Fasting for Extreme Weight Loss.
One Meal a Day (OMAD) may sound a bit intimidating. The idea of not having anything to eat for the whole day and eating all in one meal can be too much. If this thought also grips you, then you are not to be blamed. Our eating patterns have changed quite a bit in the last few centuries. We have food all around us, and this easy availability has led to incessant munching. Believe it or not, but it has caused more damage to our bodies than scarcity of food ever did. We are sitting on the ticking time bomb of obesity. It is not an impending disaster but a current one. It is an absurd yet scary fact that in spite of all the modern medical aid available today, more than 70% of the US population is overweight, and this isn't a pleasing number.
Obesity is a problem caused by various factors, but overconsumption of the wrong food at the wrong time is primary one among them. There are several ways to control this obesity epidemic, but overeating food cannot the answer. Intermittent fasting has emerged as a great solution to overcome obesity. One Meal a Day (OMAD) is an intermittent fasting practice that has gained quite a fame for its miraculous effects on weight.
One Meal a Day is one of the best ways to live a healthy life. It can help you in losing weight and in getting rid of several metabolic and lifestyle disorders. Obesity has spread its wings as an epidemic lately. As per the 2015-16 Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stats 39.6% of adults in the US are not just overweight, but obese. This is a scary number. Obesity limits the life choices of the victim to a great degree. It is a problem that can wreak havoc on the victim's personal, social, and professional life.
An obese person faces several metabolic issues and the options to an enjoyable life are drastically limited. There are physiological as well as psychological aspects of obesity that only the obese can understand.
The society can easily mock an obese person as someone who lacks the conviction to turn their life around. Low self-esteem is a rider that comes with obesity. Obese people are ripe cases for problems like hypertension, diabetes, osteoarthritis, cardiovascular diseases and other scary issues. They are constantly ridiculed for not having control over their eating urges. They are also on the receiving end of frequent advice to work out and lose weight. However, only a person suffering from obesity knows that these options don't really work out. While the advice sounds reasonable, its not particularly helpful. Weight in itself is a debilitating factor. Working out with so much weight is not that easy as it is for fit people. Controlling their appetite becomes difficult and painful in their normal routine due to significant biological factors. The odds are never really in their favor.
Does this mean that they don't have options? No, it doesnt.
There are several examples where even extremely obese people have turned their lives around. It was challenging, but they did it. This means that it can be achieved. Can anyone do it? Hypothetically speaking, yes. Practically, no. Everyone can attempt to pump iron in the gym for 10 hours a day and build a body that people would die for. However, only a handful of people are can actually to do it.
It is also a myth that weight loss methods don't work. However, the same weight loss methods don't work for everyone. The only reason behind failures and successes is the amount of effort. This can't be the same for everyone. Therefore, you can't expect everyone to turn their lives around by traditional weight loss measures. Many of those methods aren't even practically viable for obese people in general. They do not answer even the primary indicator of success, long-term sustainability.
Who will benefit from this book?
This book is about a sustainable way to lose weight for obese people. This way will work even if your weight doesn't let you work out in the gym. It will work even if you have lost all hope of losing weight ever. You can lose much weight and lose it fast.
