Beginning ripple stitch (beg ripple st): Ch 2, 3 dc in same st.

Lapghan
Row 1: With grey heather, ch 218, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (217 sc)
Row 2:Beg ripple st(see Special Stitches), sk next 3 sts, [ripple st(see Special Stitches), sk next 3 sc] across with sc in last st, turn. Fasten off. (54 ripple sts, 1 sc)
Row 3: Join Icelandic with sl st in first sc, beg ripple st, sk next 3 dc, [ripple st, sk next 3 dc] across with sc in top of ch-2, turn. Fasten off.
Row 4: With grey heather, rep row 3.
Rows 58: [Rep rows 3 and 4 alternately] twice.
Row 9: With Aruba sea, rep row 3, do not fasten off.

Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
There is no wrong or right side; the designations given are simply to clarify instructions.
Carry tan up side edges; cut white and green after each use.
Pay close attention as to when to turn. Work is not turned at the end of every row.
Chain-2 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Join with slip stitch as indicated unless otherwise stated.

Row 1 (WS): With size K hook and tan, ch 126, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, *ch 2, sk 1 ch, sc in each of next 4 chs, rep from * until 3 chs rem, ch 2, sk 1 ch, sc in each of next 2 chs, change color(see Stitch Guide and Pattern Notes) to white, turn(see Pattern Notes). Row 2: With white, ch 2(see Pattern Notes), dc in each sc across, fasten off white, do not turn. (100 dc)
Row 3: Pick up tan, draw through back lp(see Stitch Guide) at top of turning ch, ch 1, sc in top of turning ch, *working in front of previous row, 4 dc in ch-2 sp 2 rows below, sk next 2 dc, sc in gap before next dc, rep from * until 2 dc rem, sk next dc, sc in last dc, turn. (100 dc, 26 sc)
Row 4: With tan, ch 1, sc in first sc, sk next dc, sc in next dc, ch 2, [sc in each of next 2 dc, sk next sc, sc in each of next 2 dc, ch 2] 24 times, sc in next dc, sk next dc, sc in last sc, change color to green, turn. (100 sc, 25 ch-2 sps)
Rows 5120: Rep rows 24 consecutively in the following color pattern: rows 3 and 4 always with tan, row 2 *once with white, twice with green, rep from *, ending with white, followed by a final row 3, do not fasten off tan(see Pattern Notes).
Edging
Rnd 1: Now working in rnds, with tan, ch 3 (first corner sp), with WS still facing, rotate work so side edge is at top, 124 sc along first side edge, ch 3, working in opposite side of foundation ch, 124 sc along bottom edge, ch 3, 124 sc along 2nd side edge, ch 3, 124 sc along top edge, join(see Pattern Notes) in first ch-3 corner sp. (4 ch-3 sps, 124 sc each edge)
Rnd 2:Ch 3(counts as first dc), 8 dc in same ch-3 sp, *[sk 4 sc, 5 dc in next sc] 24 times, sk 4 sc, 9 dc in next ch-3 sp, rep from *, join in top of beg ch-3. Fasten off. (4 9-dc groups, 96 5-dc groups)
Rnd 3: With WS facing, join white in center st of any corner shell, ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), dc in same st, ch 1, sk 1 dc, *[sc in next dc, ch 1, sk 2 dc, V-st(see Special Stitch) in gap before next dc group, ch 1, sk 2 dc] 25 times, sc in next dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc**, (dc, {ch 1, dc} twice) in next dc, ch 1, sk 1 dc, rep from * twice, rep from * to ** once, (dc, ch 1) in same st as beg sl st, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-4. Fasten off. (25 V-sts, 26 sc per side, 3 dc, 2 ch-1 sps per corner)
Rnd 4: With WS facing, join tan in ch-1 sp of first V-st to left of any corner, ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in same ch-1 sp, 5 dc in ch-1 sp of each V-st around, working 5 dc in ch-1 sp on each side of center dc of each corner, join in top of beg ch-3. (540 dc)
Rnd 5: With size J hook, ch 1, reverse sc(see Stitch Guide) in each st around, join in beg sc. Fasten off. (540 sc)
