For beginning block (beg block), ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next 3 sts, or, ch 3, dc in next 2 chs, dc in next st.

For mesh, ch 2, skip next 2 sts or chs, dc in next st.

For block, dc in next 3 sts, or, dc in next 2 chs, dc in next st.

For beginning increase block (beg inc block), ch 5, dc in fourth ch from hook, dc in last ch, dc in next st.
