Matthew Hancock fell inlove with Portugal when he taught in Lisbon, then walked the 775-milePortuguese/Spanish border. For this edition he researched and wrote thesections on Lisbon, Coimbra and the Beira Litoral, the southern Alentejo andthe Algarve. Now a journalist and editor living in Dorset, he is also authorof the Pocket Rough Guide to Lisbon and co-author of the RoughGuide to Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
