INTRODUCTION
Howdy,
My Dad has written many books on Texas, so you could say he knows quite a bit about this subject! I believe that he wrote this book because he loves the great state of Texas so much. He wanted young people to have a workbook that was both fun and educational because he wants young people to know as much as possible about Texas.
Many activities in this book will teach you something very interesting about the Lone Star State. Like me, you probably won't know all the answers, so don't hesitate to get your parents' help.
Many times, I have wondered what to do or complained that I was bored. Well, those days are over for a while. Now that I have this book, I don't think I'll be bored for a long, long time.
Inside this "funbook" you will find many interesting games to make and play. There are also puzzles to solve, challenges to take, and lots of things to color. You can even learn how to read brands on cows. You can also make some great signs for your room, two of which are already hanging on my door!
I won't tell you my favorite activities from the book. By the time you have finished the projects, games, and activities in this book, you will have found your own favorites. I really think you'll enjoy this book as much as I do. Best of luck and remember, follow all instructions carefully. I hope you have a lot of fun with this book and that you learn some new things about Texas because that will make my Dad very happy.

Seventh: For coloring pages, use only crayons or colored pencils. Markers might run through the paper and ruin your drawing.
Eighth: The most important rule of all is be sure to have lots of fun when working on any project in this book.
