We all have something in our lives that naturally means comfort. To most of us, its being surrounded by family or friends or a special something that conjures up warm memories. Sometimes its a certain food that makes us feel extra-good and that, of course, has been the inspiration for this book. Well, OUR greatest comfort, as the Mr. Food Team, is knowing we are surrounded by so many talented and caring people who have made putting this book together such a pleasure.
Its a true comfort knowing that we have had Patty Rosenthal to head up our Test Kitchen for the last 17 years. For countless cookbooks and thousands of TV segments, Patty has been the person who has made sure every recipe turns out just so, while adhering to our quick & easy, tasty philosophy. We also want to tip our chefs hat to Jeannie Suits and Jaime Gross, who diligently tested and retested every recipe to make sure each one would bring you true comfort, and to Rosette Pierre and Dave DiCarlo for keeping our kitchen in tip-top shape. Two key people on our editorial team whom we couldnt live without are Jodi Flayman and Helayne Rosenblum, who certainly helped make this book come together by adding lots of TLC to every page you both are incredible! Its also comforting to know we have the talents of Carol Ginsburg and Caryl Ginsburg Fantel to proofread each and every word so its just right for you. When you find yourself drooling over all these full-page photos, the credit will have to go to Hal Silverman Studios. Hal and his production assistant, Frank Schram, are truly amazing, and a pleasure to work with! We also want to thank Kelly Rusin for capturing all the insert photos that brighten up our recipe pages.
And for bringing everything to life, a big thank-you to Lorraine Dan, who took all the recipes and photos and magically transformed them into a truly memory-making cookbook. What a team! For making sure everything always runs smoothly, we salute Steve Ginsburg, CEO, who heads up the administrative side of our business, along with Lina Nin, our Controller. And, of course, where would we be without Ethel Ginsburg, aka Mrs. Food? Ethel keeps Mr. Food looking his very best and always in the right place at the right time. True comfort comes from knowing that Howard Rosenthal, our COO, is there every step of the way to help steer the team with his creative vision, and for challenging all of us to make everything we do truly spectacular.
Last, but certainly not least, our biggest comfort of all is knowing we are inspired everyday by the founder of the Mr. Food Brand, Art Ginsburg. Art not only drew the map that we all follow, but his quick & easy philosophy has been instilled in each of us. Thank you for sharing all your gifts with us. We also want to thank all the other people who, in one way or other, helped create such a warm and tasty cookbook. You know who you areand you know how much we appreciate all you do.
But the most important thanks go to you, our viewers and readers, who have shared so much of yourselves with our team over the years, and who make everything we do so rewarding. The greatest comfort of all is your loyalty, and for that we are truly grateful.
