They provide great nutrition, and can be a great cure for a sweet tooth. They are quick, easy to make, and you can make them for any meal or snack of the day. In this recipe book, I have included 42 vegan smoothies and protein shakes that are easy and quick to make. I have also included my top five tips and tricks for smoothies, as well as a quick and fun fact about an ingredient with each recipe. Please be advised that I am not a nutritionist and if you need to make a substitution of an ingredient, please do that. You will know your body better than me.
These are just some of my favorites and suggestions to try. These recipes are NOT medical advice. All of these smoothies make 1 to 2, just depending on how hungry you are. Top 5 Tips and Tricks
~ Ice is great when you want to make a smoothie thicker. But to get the best consistency, about of your ingredients should be frozen.
This is just a general guide as it will depend on your blender. ~ No time to make smoothies when you want? No problem! Prepare them ahead of time and place the ingredients in a Ziploc bag. Place the bags in the fridge or freezer and grab them as needed. ~ To avoid leafy chunks in green smoothies, make sure to blend your leafy greens and liquids first. Then add the remaining ingredients. ~ Ran out of ice? All of your ingredients are fresh instead of frozen? BUT you still want a thick shake? No problem! Just add less liquids.
Start with half the recommended amount, and you can always add more if needed. ~ If you have a little bit of extra smoothie, pour it into an ice cube tray or small paper cups. Freeze and enjoy later as a special treat.
Chia Berry Smoothie
Chia seeds are very high in antioxidants. However if you are on high blood pressure or blood thinner medications, check with your doctor before consuming them.
Ingredients 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk 1/2 cup blueberries, frozen 1/4 cup cherries, frozen 1 Tbsp Chia seeds Directions 1 - Put the almond milk in the blender. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth.

Strawberry Banana-tastic Smoothie
This is a classic smoothie using strawberries, bananas and almond milk. Ingredients 2 cups strawberries 1 banana 1 cup unsweetened almond milk Ice (optional for thickness) Directions 1 - Put the almond milk in the blender. 2 - Add the rest of the ingredients. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. ENJOY!
Perfectly Green Nutty Smoothie
Even though almonds are high in fat content, they can help with weight loss. 2 - Add the remaining ingredients, except the rest of the water.
3 - Mix until blended. 4 - If the smoothie is too thick for you, add a little more water and mix. 5 - Repeat if necessary. 5 - Repeat if necessary.

Easy Tropical Pineapple Smoothie
Did you know that fresh spinach is low in calories, but pretty high in protein? Ingredients 2 cups fresh pineapple, chopped 1 cup fresh spinach 1 cup light coconut milk Directions 1 - Put the coconut milk and the spinach in the blender. 2 - Mix together, then add the pineapple. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. ENJOY!
Watermelon Coconut Tropical Smoothie
Watermelon has a very high level of lycopene. This has been proven to help with heart and bone health, as well as aid in the prevention of prostate cancer. 2 - Add the watermelon and strawberries. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. 4 - If smoothie is too thin, add a few ice cubes. 4 - If smoothie is too thin, add a few ice cubes.
Mix until smooth. Repeat if needed if you would like a thicker smoothie. ENJOY!
Get Yo Protein Yummy Shake
Strawberries are a very good source of vitamin C. Just 1/2 cup provides 50% of the daily recommended value. Ingredients 1 medium banana 1 scoop vegan protein powder cup strawberries cup blueberries 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk Directions 1 - Put the almond milk in the blender. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth.

Tropical Tango Smoothie
Almond non-dairy yogurt is very creamy and a good source of fiber. Ingredients 1 medium orange, peeled and chopped 1 mango, peeled and chopped 1 cup vanilla almond non-dairy yogurt 1 cup strawberries Water (optional) Directions 1 - Add all ingredients to your blender. 2 - Mix until blended and smooth. 3 - If smoothie is too thick for you, add some water slowly and mix. ENJOY!
The Green Quickness Smoothie
Kale is a low calorie food and has many nutritional benefits. Mix. 2 - Add the rest of the ingredients. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. 4 - If smoothie is too thin, add a few ice cubes. 4 - If smoothie is too thin, add a few ice cubes.

The Green Monster Hulk Smoothie
Due to its fiber and protein content, peanut butter can help you in your weight loss journey. It keeps you fuller longer and helps fight cravings. Ingredients 2 handfuls of spinach 1 medium banana 1 scoop vegan protein powder 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 Tbsp Chia seeds 1 Tbsp natural peanut butter Directions 1 - Put the almond milk and spinach in the blender. 2 - Add the rest of the ingredients. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth.

The Healthy Cocktail Green Smoothie
A lime is used in many different products, and it has a long list of health benefits. Ingredients 1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple, chopped 1 cup kale, chopped 1 cup coconut water 1 lime, juiced Directions 1 - Put the coconut water and kale in the blender and mix. 2 - Add the remaining ingredients. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. ENJOY!
Quit Monkeying Around PB Smoothie
An 8-ounce glass of hemp milk contains all 10 essential amino acids. 2 - Add the rest of the ingredients to your blender, except for the water. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. 4 - If this is too thick for you, add some water and mix until blended. 4 - If this is too thick for you, add some water and mix until blended.

Spearmint has many different uses, including aiding in digestive disorders. Ingredients 1/2 medium banana, frozen 1/2 medium avocado 2 cups fresh strawberries 1 1/2 cups coconut water 3 Tbsp spearmint extract 1 pitted date (optional) Ice (optional for thickness) Directions 1 - Put the coconut water in the blender. 2 - Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the ice. 3 - Mix until blended and smooth. 4 - If this is too thin for you, add some ice and mix until blended. If it is still too thin, repeat until its to your preferred thickness.
