Welcome to the second book in the 1 Habit series.
When I created the 1st book (1 Habit), I had no idea the impact it would have on people. Both readers and contributors turned it from a simple book into a movement.
As I sit here now and write this forward, we have 24 more books to follow this one. We will publish one book a month for the next 24 months. Each book will follow the 1 Habit formula, and the exciting part is each book has a co-author.
These co-authors are experts in various walks of life, each with huge followings. We will use the 1 Habit formula to tap into Habits for areas like Music, Entrepreneurship, Creativity, Athletics, and many more.
I am very excited that you now own this incredible book built by Women Action Takers. When my co-author, Lynda Sunshine West, came to me with the idea of doing a 1 Habit Book For Women Action Takers, my responses was an immediate yes.
Our initial plan was to do a webinar with a few hundred potential contributors and publish the book about a month later.
As the webinar was in process, I had an inspiration. These women we were talking to where all "Action Takers." They made things happen. They ran big companies. Some started big companies. All of them took charge of their lives and created the success they knew they wanted. So, why not challenge them to do the impossible (in most people's eyes)
It was on November 18th. Next week would be Thanksgiving in the US. Let's take action and have this book publish by the week of Thanksgiving. Now, keep in mind the first book took nine months to bring all the contributors together, layout, edit, artwork, and everything else to bring it to market. I was asking these incredible women to show who they were. It would take an astonishing group of people to come together and take a book from concept to market in what amounted to be just 12 days.
Everyone agreed that they would up for the challenge. My co-author and I created a system for submissions, which would streamline the process. We brought on more people to handle editing and design, and we hit the start button.
Within the first 24 hours, we had 1/4 of the submissions in. By day two we had another 1/4. As each submission came is, we edited them, laid them out, and sent proofs back to the contributors to take another pass at and return.
Seven days after that initial webinar, we were doing the final pass of edits to the final draft of the book. We finished those within 18 hours.
As I sit here right now, I am writing the final words to be placed into this book. When I finish, we will send this to our distributors, and the book will be available for people to purchase in 3 days.
If anybody asks me why they should listen to the women in this book and follow their Habit, my answer is simple. I was a witness and a participant in seeing them do the impossible. These women came together, walking their talk, and created a book of Habits in 8 days.
The most important part for you, dear reader, is the fact that if you take one of these Habits and make it a part of you, it may change your life forever. Take five and instill them inside of yourself, you may change the world.

My name is Steven Samblis, and it is my honor to present to you 1 Habit For Women Action Takers. I hope this book will have a profound effect on your life. For you to get the most out of this book, I feel it is essential that I share with you how the 1 Habit Movement was created, and more importantly, why it was created. After, we will show you how to use the book to reach your maximum potential.
I say the following with absolute certainty. Taking ownership of just one of the Habits in this book will have a profound effect on your life. I know this because when I learned about the power of Habits and instilled the first one into who I was, my life changed forever. I know the same can happen to you, and here is where it gets exciting. Add on another Habit and another after that, and you will find your life taking off on automatic pilot to the greatness that you were born to achieve.
The Beginning
From the time I was a young man, brand new to the business, I knew the way to be successful in my chosen field was to find successful people that came before me and do the things that they did. I was a stockbroker at the time. I would find the most successful stockbrokers in the business, study what they did, and do the same thing. I would start my day at the same time. I went to lunch at the same time. I ate dinner at the same time. I went home at the same time. I made calls when they where making calls and studied the market when they did. After the end of doing this for six months, I was mentally and physically fried. Something was missing.
One of my heroes at this point in my life was a stockbroker named Al Glover. Al worked with me at a Dean Witter in Cocoa Beach, Florida. It was the early 80's. Cocoa Beach was a sleepy town where you could buy a charming home for under $50,000.00. Al was making a few million a year in commissions.
