They say life doesnt come with an instruction manual, but I think they the authors of such platitudes have yet to read You Can Do This. The wise, quirky voice of Tricia Lott Williford is the one I want to hear. I want to hear it when I dont feel as though Im good enough. I want to hear it when I feel afraid of what the future might hold. I want her voice in my ear when I meet someone whos unkind. As you read You Can Do This, listen for the gentle voice of Gods life-giving Spirit breathing through the words on each page.
With gentle humor and friendly warmth, Tricia Lott Williford assures women that they can be who God has created them to be. Williford comes alongside the reader as a fellow struggler, not an expert, winsomely and honestly reflecting on mistakes made and lessons learned. I love that Williford incorporates practical examples and advice both from her life and from other womens about walking in courage and in God-confidence. Readers who feel alone and insecure (and who hasnt felt that way?) will find much to love in You Can Do This, including rest stops (questions and tasks related to biblical confidence) at the end of each chapter.
Tricias poignant, humorous writing has always captivated me, but she really hit a home run with You Can Do This. The wisdom she imparts on female confidence is fresh and bold and grounded in truth. Youll never look at yourself quite the same. Buy this book for your daughters, your best friends, and most of all, for yourself.
Even women who stand on platforms can struggle with confidence, and raising small people demands outright guts. Tricia Lott Williford shares hard-won insights and do-it-today ideas to grow stronger. Tricia helps women from all walks of life sit tall in their places at the table with God and those theyre called to love and lead. I loved this book!

Acknowledgments
SOME DAYS, writing is like climbing the side of a mountain; other days, its like sledding down the other side. I am unspeakably and forever thankful to the people who help me carry my sled back to the top, who keep me in the game.
I thank my agent, Greg Johnson, who champions my writing and carries my words where they could never venture on their own. Greg holds the map for the journey, and he leads my way.
I thank the tremendous team at NavPress and especially Caitlyn Carlson, my editor, who is essentially a human Instagram filter for words. She says, I see what youre trying to do here, and may I add a few things to sharpen the focus a bit? And then she does her magic, and everything is more beautiful. My creative work needs help being born, and she is a most excellent midwife.
I thank my mom, who has been my first reader since the earliest days when I wrote sentences with crayon. Shes still reading all of my sentences anytime I ask, making them stronger with her questions, suggestions, and refills of Diet Coke. She is my best-kept secret, the wordsmith in my pocket, and the keeper of the dreams.
I thank my dad, who decided on the day he became a father that his children would never, ever wonder whether he loved them. To this day, there has never been a question. My earliest confidence took root in very fertile soil and unconditional love. The world needs more dads like mine.
