Radiation Medicine Rounds is a hard cover, periodical series that is designed to provide an up-to-date review of a dedicated radiation medicine topic of interest to clinicians and scientists who are involved in the care of patients receiving radiotherapy. It is intended to serve as both a reference and instructional tool by students, housesta?, fellows, practicing clinicians, medical physicists, cancer/radiobiologists, and interdisciplinary col-leagues throughout the oncology spectrum.

The current issue, Head and Neck Cancer, is a successful attempt to concisely summarize one of the dis-eases that has served as a paradigm for implementation of emerging technology and understanding of cancer biology over the past two decades. Our volume editors, Dr. Roy Tishler and Dr. Dwight Heron, have been able to get some of the leading thought leaders in radiotherapy of the head and neck to contribute to an up-to-date summary of the role of radiotherapy in this complex malignancy of the upper areodigestive tract. On behalf of the rest of the RMR editorial board, Roy and Dwight are to be congratulated for developing such a reliable resource for the head and neck cancer community.
