Let's Make Pancakes
To make pancakes , you will need :
Flour Sugar
Milk An egg
Salt Baking powder
You will need these tools :
Bowl Measuring spoons
Strainer Frying pan
Spatula Wooden spoon

First , get one cup of flour ready .
Add one teaspoon of baking powder
and a pinch of salt .
Strain this dry mixture into the bowl .
Then sprinkle in one tablespoon of sugar .

Get half a cup of milk ready .
Break an egg into a cup , and stir
it with a fork . Pour it into the dry
mixture with some of the milk .

Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon ,
and keep adding more of the milk .
You need to stir the mixture until it
is smooth . This is called batter .
Put a pan on the stove to get hot .
Add a teaspoon of butter to the
pan and watch until it melts .
Pour in some of the batter until
it makes a circle .

When the pancake gets bubbles on top ,
it is time to turn it over .
Put the spatula under the middle of it .
Flip the pancake over so the cooked
side is on top .
Use the spatula to take the pancake
off when the other side is cooked .

Cook all the batter like this , and you
will have a big stack of pancakes .
Cover them with a clean cloth .
Get plates and knives and forks ready .

Butter and warm maple syrup
Butter and jam
Chopped fruit and ice - cream
Lemon juice and sugar . Delicious !
