I began my teaching career in the late 1970s with illustrating and drawing classes. I earned my Masters degree in English at the University of Oregon. Im currently an English instructor at Citrus Community College in Glendora, California, though home is Eugene, Oregon. Ive taught at Fullerton College, Murray State College, and the University of Oregon. I am a former director for a teacher recruitment program. My proudest academic accomplishment came as a result of the two consecutive years my students selected me as their most influential teacher.
Concurrently, Im a freelance writer/editor, writing and editing academic materials for companies like REA and Greenwood Press. Ive also served as a consultant, aiding in the design and successful implementation of a private preparatory schools English curriculum.
Im also a fine artist, a photographer, and a rank amateur guitar player. Primarily, if it involves the fine arts in some way, Im there.
