W riting Lifes a JourneyNot a Sprint has been like crafting a quilt into which the many people whom I admire, respect, love, and care about have woven something special.
To my children, thank you for being patient with me. I love you so very much.
To my husband, mother, father, and brothers, Im grateful for your vision, lending an ear, and always being there for the children.
To my best friends and girlfriends, youre my steady beat of encouragement.
To the entire Hay House staffespecially Reid Tracy, Jill Kramer, Shannon Littrell, Katie Williams, and Stacey Smithyour support and professionalism were amazing.
To my mentors Acel Moore and Kit Melick-Niemiec, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Individually, thread is plain and simple. But when woven gently, one piece at a time with loving hands, it becomes a beautiful tapestry with vibrant colors. Its in all its glory. You all are those threads for me. Thank you for helping me on this new and exciting journey.
52 Weekly Affirmations
for Life, Love, Work,
and Home
M any people ask me how I find peace in my day when theres so much chaos happening around me. My answer is that I make it a point to read something inspirational before I head out the door each morning. I also spend a few minutes each day quietly thinking of the things Im thankful for and how I plan to tackle the dayeven on mornings when my journey feels more like a trek up Mt. Everest than a stroll in the park.
New beginnings will keep knocking at your door, as if to say, Its over. Move onnow! I appreciate the process that we go through in life. Everything is based on the natural and spiritual laws of sowing and reaping. If I sow goodness, peace, love, patience, and joy, Ill receive them in spades (and vice versa). So I look at what Ive been blessed to experiencegood or badin my life and marvel at how I survived those things. Im thankful for the process: I revel as a caterpillar, I dance while in the cocoon, and I shout for joy as I sprout wings as a butterfly.
