What are dump cakes?
The name of this dessert seems to be a little deceptive however, these cakes are easy to make and delicious to savor. Dump cakes are quite opposed to their name owing to the exotic ingredients of these cakes. Generally these cakes are a combination of:
Fruits (canned or fresh) topped with cake mix and butter.
A dditions like oats, almonds, and cashews can be added to enhance the texture and taste of these cakes.
The combination of all these ingredients results in crispy top crust resting on a layer of fruits.

Ingredients
3 sliced apples (deseeded)
250 g sliced butter
cup sugar
cup chopped almonds
1 box vanilla cake mix
Method
Preheat oven to 350. Take a 9x13 baking tray and spray it with cooking spray
Arrange the sliced apples at the bottom. Spread the vanilla cake mix on top of the apples. Now arrange the sliced butter on the cake mix. Lastly sprinkle the mixture of sugar and nuts on the butter.
Bake the dump cake for around 60 minutes till the top turns light brown, and the cake seems to be bubbly. Allow the baking dish to cool.
Tip: Serve hot with ice-cream or caramel .
