Chapter 1 - Fruit Infused Water - Your Healthier Option
Water is the best thirst quencher of all, and it helps the body flush the toxins out. Even health experts recommend drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day to keep the body hydrated and eliminate harmful substances inside. Unfortunately, not all people are fond of drinking water in huge amounts (which the body requires, by the way, in order to eliminate the toxins).
The water amount of eight glasses per day is the minimum water intake that you need, regardless of your weight, to gain the health benefits of water. You may need more if you weigh more. Just so you know a regular drinking glass can hold 8 ounces of water.
To get your ideal water consumption per day, divide your weight (in lbs) by two and it will yield the ounces of water that you need to drink. To illustrate, if you weigh 160 lbs. then you need to divide 160 by 2 and you will get 80. That only suggests that you need 80 ounces of water (not any liquid) to get the maximum benefits of water. Divide 80 by 8oz. (the volume of water that a regular glass can contain), and you will get 10 glasses. To summarize, if you weigh 160 lbs., then you need to consume ten glasses of water per day to get positive results. If your result is below 8, then you still need to drink the 8 glasses minimum.
