Foreword
I grew up on the most polluted lake in the country. At that timeover 30 years agothe words environment and environmentalist had not yet entered our vocabulary in any significant way. I had no idea how the lake got that way, what it meant, or who could help solve the problem. All I knew was that I couldn't swim in the lake, and that seemed very wrong.
