To my son Graham,
who, in his early years was obliged to accompany me along my path
and whose presence in my life has taught me more about love,
wisdom, and the path of authenticity than he can ever imagine.
And to all my clients and students,
whose presence has allowed me to develop my own intuition,
I thank you for your trust and willingness to follow the way.

Acknowledgments
G ratitude is a sweet nectar, true nourishment for the heart. At the completion of this project, I understand more deeply how writing is a truly solitary affair. The gratitude I feel in my heart goes toward the people who formed an essential part of my life during the writing of this manuscript, and who, each in their own way, supported me in this task.
I am grateful to Jean-Louis Abrassart, who encouraged me from the beginning and helped me through difficult moments. I acknowledge him for his commitment to the path, and for the strength of his convictions, which helped me to clarify my own.
To Vronique Groux de Mieri, my friend and translator for the original French edition, for her much appreciated collaboration and wicked sense of humor.
I acknowledge with gratitude and appreciation for their contribution, all the teachers of the intuition team in France since the beginning: Vanessa Mielczarek, Michle Isorez, Grard Belaud, Odile Besanon, Gilles Bouilliez, Magali Amir, Arnaud Sebal, Claire Guichard, Jill Mackechnie, Guy Ravanel, and Jean-Loup Champetier de Ribes.
For their collaboration with the illustrations and photos I thank Genevive Dindart, Franois Chomicki, and Studio Eclipse, Annecy. With special thanks to Marie-Franoise, super-secretary, and to Vanessa Jones and Sally Rush for their scrupulous corrections of the manuscript. I am very grateful to Deva Visarjan and Alain Roux, two special people I have been privileged to teach with over the years, who have taught me what inspirational collaboration can be.
And to the beloved souls I have been journeying with more recently, into inner worldsDavid, Gilly, Eva, Robin, Annetta, Michael, Claire, and NemiI thank you for your presence, your coute, and your spirit. Eirik I thank, for sacred Love.
Introduction
T he infinite mystery of the gift of intuition has always fascinated me. The task of giving it tangible form has been one of my primary preoccupations since I first discovered the irrefutable evidence of my own intuition in 1980 at Heartsong School for Psychic Perception in Berkeley, California. The revelation of my intuitive gift, made possible through the teachings I received, deeply and permanently transformed my perception of myself, of others, and of the world in which we exist.
The discovery of my intuition was, in fact, a rediscovery of myself. Reflecting back on myself before I was realigned with my intuition, I see someone fragmented into many morsels, into many different facets, always searching, looking, seeking for something lost, for something precious and very essential to my fundamental well-being and sense of Self. I see myself slowly reassembling the fragments, bringing myself together and remembering who I was. By reconciling with my intuition, I suddenly brought everything together into a whole. The rediscovery of my capacity to access and perceive the truth within myself created a deep healing in my heart and a profound sense of coming home to myself.
I always assumed that intuition was a gift for a privileged few. The realization that it is an inner capacity waiting to be awakened in all beings was a tremendous inspiration to me. I knew immediately that I had found my way, my path. I knew with certainty that it was part of my purpose to teach intuition development in the world. I also understood that I had lost and then rediscovered my own intuition so that I could better understand and assist others in their own process of inner awakening.
I love intuition. I love its mystery, its depth, and its truth. Guiding others to the revelation of their own intuition is a delicate, powerful, and blessed work, a process in which I participate with respect and gratitude.
Throughout my years as a healer and psychotherapist, I have understood that the four burning questions which motivate people on a path of personal transformation and spiritual development are: Who am I? Why am I here? What is happening? Where am I going?
These questions create the spiritual quest, the search. The moment we begin to ask ourselves these questions, we trigger the initiatory journey within ourselves and our lives become the means through which we explore and discover the answers we seek.
It is impossible to find the answer to these questions with the rational mind. We may begin to answer through a logical process of rational deduction, but we will quickly discover that the reasonable answers of the mind are flat, limited, and without depth or inspiration. We are obliged to reach deeper, to come back to ourselves in a different manner, in order to explore the possible answers to these questions.
