A NOTE ABOUT THE CLASS SESSIONS
& THE SETH AUDIO COLLECTION

The Seth Class Session books will cover Seth sessions held in Jane Roberts ESP Class from 1967 to the end of January 1972. These classes were held prior to the recordings used in The Seth Audio Collection.

The Seth Audio collection recordings begin, in general, in 1972. These are actual recordings of Seth speaking during Janes class in Elmira NY which are being published in CD format along with written transcripts. There are 39 CDs already issued and more will be forthcoming. The Seth Audio Collection will cover the Seth sessions held in Jane Roberts ESP Classes from 1972 -1979, with the exception of some classes for which we do not possess a recording.

THE EARLY SESSIONS

The Early Sessions consist of the first 510 sessions dictated by Seth through Jane Roberts. There are 9 books in The Early Sessions series.

THE PERSONAL SESSIONS

The Personal Sessions , often referred to as the deleted sessions, are Seth sessions that Jane Roberts and Rob Butts considered to be of a highly personal nature and were therefore kept in separate notebooks from the main body of the Seth material. The Personal Sessions are published in 7 volumes.

TUESDAY

(The group went into Alpha I and gave their impressions. Theodore made a remark about a friend.)

He is a delightful peacock.

(A discussion of Bradys impressions of Theodore. Discussion of the origins of Heaven and Hell followed.)

Now I want you all to know, and it will please you no end, that you have an authority present, for I was a pope in 300 AD. I was not a very good pope.

([Theodore:] Shall we kiss your ring?)

I am sorry, I do not have it here, and I will not make any suitable comments that Ruburt might make, following your statement.

However, there is something that you should know. Because you are physically oriented, you early got it into your heads that goodness must have a place in the physical universe and evil must have a place within it. And so you set up for yourselves the division of Heaven and Hell. In one story or another, it has existed far back into the annals of your time. Now give us a moment.

As I have tried to explain to you, the rigorous concepts of good and evil are themselves highly distorted, and when you find such a dilemma where goodness is one thing and evil another, and both contrary and separate, then you automatically separate them in your minds and in your feelings and in your fantasies. You do not seem at this point able to realize that what you call evil works for what you call good, or that both are a part of energy, and that you are using energy to form your reality, both now and after this life. This is because you deal with effects physically, as you see them. And until you divest yourself of such psychological behavior, it will always seem to you that good and evil are opposites, and you will treat them as such in your feelings and in your concepts and in your myths.

([Ron L:] Is it ever justified to do evil for the sake of good?)

In the terms in which you ask the question, the answer is no.

([Ron:] In other words, in this reality we are faced with decisions in this context, is it true that our decisions can be only constructive and good or destructive and evil?)

Only in the terms in which you ask the question. In larger terms, there is no such thing as destruction; and your second question does not follow logically from the first one. Now if you will look at the script when you receive it, you will see what I mean. You ask questions without considering the answers that have been given. Think of the answers before you form your next question.

([Ron:] Yes, but I dont necessarily agree with the logic of your answers.)

I do not need you to agree with my logic. I need you to understand the faulty quality in your own logic, and that must come from yourself and not from me. Now, wait. Part of this is due to the fact that you form questions before you comprehend the nature of the answers that you have received. Read the script. Find out the answers I have given you, and then form your questions.

([Ron. :] Well, I have a question that I know Im going to form after I read the script, and that is that your response was that my question was only meaningful in the terms that I use. So for you, how do you conceive of good and evil in your own reality?)

There is no destruction and there is no evil. But while you believe that there is, then you must act accordingly. While you believe that to murder a man is to destroy his consciousness forever, then you cannot murder, and in your terms it is an evil.

([Ron:] Well, Hitler could have used that justification for wiping out 9 million Jews.)

He could have, indeed.

([Ron:] Well then I have to disagree with you. I think that even in the way we look at it now that there is destruction, which is evil...)

I know that you do. You live within that reality, and while you live within it, you must deal with it, and so you are.

([Ron:] Is there such a thing as a moral decision for someone who exists in the next plane of existence?)

There are always moral decisions. They involve the use of creativity and development. They involve the use of spontaneity.

([Ron:] What system of values do you use to choose in your moral decisions?)

I have told you. My last answer implies that answer.

(Ron:] In your words, it would be whatever is the most creative in terms of what you want to do.)

We will ignore the last part of your sentence and agree with the first part. And I shall certainly see to it, if I have any abilities to do so, that in your next life, you are put in the position of answering someone whose mind works exactly as yours does.

(To Brady.) Now. Here we have creative love and intelligence operating this evening spontaneously and creatively in making contact with another. This is what you should learn to achieve.

([Ron:] I feel like Ive made contact with you very well.)
