Introduction
Steaming lattes. Foam that reaches to the rim of the mug. Aroma of coffee permeating the atmosphere. Buzz of chatter and croon of laid-back music.
Theres something comforting and rejuvenating about spending time in a coffee shopespecially when its with a friend. I often leave these coffee conversations inspired and equipped to tackle the rest of the day.
Doesnt sound too different than our morning times with Jesus, does it?
Our friendship with Him satisfies our yearning to be understood and accepted.
Our conversations with Him encourage us to be who He created us to be and inspire us to embrace our potential.
The peace, joy, and love we receive from having an intimate relationship with God give us the spiritual caffeine we need to conquer the remainder of the day.
Even if youve yet to experience the benefits that come from pursuing a relationship with Jesus, I hope youll find the answer to your hearts longing for connection in this book. Because when I was a teenwhich wasnt too many years agoI searched for someone who could understand me. A female who had recently been in my shoes, experienced what Id experienced, and could answer some of my toughest questions.
So pretend as though were sitting across the table at a coffee shop. (What are you sipping on? A drink made from one of my coffee recipes in this book, perhaps?) No judgments or criticisms are exchanged; only meaningful conversation.
In the Menu portion of the Contents, choose your preferred devo flavor based on your current need. Then, allow me to share my heart about that topic based on Scripture. Each short devotional gives you the opportunity to reflect, pray, and apply it to your own life. Youll then have the opportunity to continue the conversation on social media using the hashtag #CoffeeShopDevos. (And yes, a selfie taken with your coffee or preferred beverage is more than welcome!)
