Lifes greatest journeys begin with questions.

I remember my older brother clambering aboard a big yellow bus to take him to school, while my mother and I watched from the driveway. Why cant I go with Mike? I asked, tugging at my mothers hand.

Because youre not old enough yet, she replied patiently.

The bus lumbered up the street, a puff of exhaust trailing behind. But I wanna go. Why aint I old enough?

Why arent I old enough, my mother corrected. When you go to school, theyll teach you to talk good. She smiled, although I didnt get the joke then. When I finally arrived at school a few years later, I fell in love with learning. It became a lifelong passionand, I was allowed to ride that big yellow school bus, too.

Many years later, another question: what college are you attending? My choice brought me hours of fervent study; incredible memories of projects, shows, and achievements; and friendships that I cherish even today.

Flash forward a few more years: my boyfriend on one knee in the living room of my parents home, his hand outstretched to take mine as he pops that question most girls dream about from the time theyre tiny princesses. The engagement ring he slips on my finger seals our bond a year before we take our marriage vows in a church packed with people. Nearly two decades later, were still going strong.

And a perfect circle: my own twin sons sitting on my lap, pacifiers in their mouths, pointing at images in a picture book. Dat? they ask, and I answer: Cat. Dog. Fish. Ball. Baby. I squeeze them tightly to me, the book balanced between us all, trying to freeze the moment in time.

It doesnt work, of course. They continue to grow older, and wiser, and I continue to answer their questions as best I can, just like my mother did for me.

Still another of my greatest life journeys began with a question posed by a friend: Do you want to come to a psychic-development class at my house? Id been reading Tarot cards for years by then, but I wanted to continue to learn and grow. I wanted my spiritual path to infuse every aspect of my life, not just one area of it. Going to that class, and the incredible odyssey that began there, helped to bring that intention into manifested reality.

After years of diligent study in a Spiritualist seminary program, I was tested by a panel of experienced mediums and proved my ability to contact the spirit world. I became a certified, professional medium, adding to my skills as a Tarot reader and psychic. Each year, I conduct hundreds of personal readings and group sittings where I connect with people who have passed to the Other Side and wish to communicate from there with their loved ones here on the physical plane.

I also chose to become an ordained Spiritualist minister, and I served a church community for several years as Assistant Pastor and Director of Education. During my tenure, I designed an intensive mediumship training program for those who wished to study after-death communication, which produced over a dozen excellent mediums who now use those skills professionally. After working with students in this capacity, I began to think about people who might want to make their own connections to Spirit but didnt have the opportunity to study with an institution like our church or the place I attended seminary.

My first book, So You Want to Be a Medium? A Down-to-Earth Guide , was born from the desire to communicate with a larger audience hungry to get in touch with Spirit themselves. My second book, Metatron: Invoking the Angel of Gods Presence , grew from my experiences of working with that specific archangel and the myriad questions Id had about angels and their special energies. Every year, I use my education degree to teach as many classes as I can on a variety of metaphysical topics, including mediumship development and other subjects addressing contact with the spirit world. Ive hosted a spiritual radio show in my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Ive been featured on many other programs, speaking extensively about after-death communication and spirit contact. I feel blessed, because I believe Ive found my purpose in life: to bring information from the spirit world to those that wish to learn more about it.
