Faith And The Marketplace: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Faith And The Marketplace" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

Faith and the Marketplace is a life-transforming book on the supernatural business of the kingdom of God, and a kingdom leadership playbook that promises to catapult you to the next level of your career, profession, business, or ministry. You will learn how to build your faith in God and understand His perfect plan for your life. Your faith was never meant to be separated from your work or business life. Bill Winston meticulously details throughout this book how the two work together. In Gods kingdom, you are either a king or a priest. Kings are marketplace ministers who serve in government, business, education, media, the family, and arts and entertainment. Priests are those who serve as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, or teacher, or what is commonly referred to as the five-fold ministry. Through a multitude of scriptures, his own life story, and the engaging stories of others, Bill Winston explains why God is calling for the restoration of the unbeatable team of kings and priests to bring faith back into the marketplace, and to advance His kingdom around the world. Bill Winston has served as both a king (in the military and business world) and now a priest, and has been graced by God to reach this topic of faith and the marketplace like no one else.

CONTENTS
PREFACE

F aith and the Marketplace is a result of a revelation from God given to me when I was enrolled in seminary back in 1986. After a time of seeking the Lord to better understand my purpose and calling in this life, I heard this, Take the straps off. The Lord was taking me to a greater understanding of His Truthone that would allow me to see a ministry as any enterprise where Jesus is Lord. People would then recognize a ministry as a manufacturing company, or a publishing company, or ABC Distribution Company. He revealed to me that there will be godly men and women with great integrity managing these companies. They will be Gods anointed ministers in the marketplace. They will operate these businesses using the principles of faith along with their basic business skills.

Along with this revelation I was led to this scripture in Isaiah 48:17: Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the L ORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

As I read these words I saw them like I had never seen them before. The word profit stood out like light in the darkness. From this revelation came the Joseph Business School (JBS), founded in 1998 and now a nationally accredited business school, training students using practical and biblical principles to be successful entrepreneurs and business leaders. The wealth created from the graduates businesses will help establish Gods kingdom in every place and eradicate poverty wherever it is found.

As the worlds economic system continues to fail, those trained on how to do Business by the Book (a course I teach at JBS) will prevail. In fact, the church institution will become the most successful and wealthiest in the world, no longer living on leftovers after paying its bills or pastors struggling to raise money to move forward with the vision the Lord has placed in their hearts. It will destroy poverty at its roots as well as fulfill the prophecy that says, the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the L ORD , as the waters cover the sea (Isaiah 11:9). The Church is now moving into an end-time season when the wealth of nations is coming into the hands of the righteous. Why? So that this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witnessand thenshall the end come (Matthew 24:14). One man said, Believers will experience a no budget anointing.

Here is a biblical prophecy that must be fulfilled, and it will take finances to help accomplish it:

The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. They will say, This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabitedI the L ORD have spoken, and I will do it. Ezekiel 36:3436 NIV

For the past seventeen years, I have been teaching and preaching, demonstrating and documenting that one Word given to me that day while in seminary, which I am now writing about in this book. Even though I taught and practiced it, this book clearly confirms that faith and the marketplace were never meant to be separated, and now its time for the people of God (the Church) to bring them back together.

When Adam and Eve sinned and were put out of the garden of Eden, they began to produce another culture, a culture that was built outside the presence of the One True God. This was a culture originating from the mind of its architect, satan, and not from our Creator. Soon, laws were made to support this culture and to legalize its destructive influence.

For example, in the United States, some have legally challenged the phrase under God in our countrys Pledge of Allegiance, and the U.S. Supreme Courts Abington Township School District v. Schempp decision in 1963 prohibits teachers and school officials from organizing or leading prayers or devotional Bible reading in public schools. Decades later we are seeing the effects of this decision in the deterioration and destruction of much of our public school system, from safety to academic achievement to morality.

Knowledge alone will not exalt a nation. You must combine natural knowledge with revealed knowledge of the principles of the kingdom, such as integrity, love, holiness, and compassion. If you combine natural learning along with faith or spiritual knowledge and wisdom, you can see the full aspects of any problem, and can determine the best and sure approach to solving them.
