You see, these pages are filled with an incredible testimony of the transformative power of God to heal us from abandonment, abuse, cruelty, and much worse.

Ive been friends with Lettie for over four years. We met at church and shared our love for worshipping God through music. At that time, I would have never guessed the pain that she came from. She was and is beautifulinside and outand confident, yet so sweet and kind.

I see now that God drew us together because weve both survived intense evil in our backgrounds. Like two sides of the same coin, some of my experiences were different, but I can relate to the level of vile wickedness that can take place in ones own home. My mom and dad were loving saints. However, later in my childhood, I had the misfortune of being around a man who I refer to as demon.

God also placed Lettie in my path to help me heal when I lost my brother suddenly in a car accident three years ago. She was one of the only ones outside of my immediate family who showed concern and prayed with me. She was a shining example of how important it is to have the right alignments and family of choice.

When asked why she was writing this book, Letties objective was clear, and her answer without hesitation: to change lives. I have no doubt that readers of this book will have their lives changed for the better because Lettie doesnt just share the bad, she offers scriptures, examples, and solutions to combat the darkness with light.

I grew up in a small farming community in Michigan, which is where I met Lettie. We became fast friends during our middle school years, and this friendship remains one of my most cherished to this day.
