Preface
Why a Daily Reader?
One year ago, I wrote the book, Coffee Self-Talk. Since its release, the book has gained a large following and a thriving, nurturing community of readers in its Facebook group at facebook.com/groups/coffeeselftalk. It has been wonderful to see all of the love, support, and laughs that the members provide to each other every day of the week.
In the comments there and elsewhere in social media, two themes caught my attention:
First, some people had expected Coffee Self-Talk to be a daily reader, presumably from the books subtitle, 5 minutes a day to start living your magical life. Some readers thought this meant, read this book for five minutes a day. But Coffee Self-Talk was not structured as a daily reader. Rather, its a regular book that outlines a process for developing your own five-minute (or more) daily self-talk program.
Second, when people finished reading the book, many of them simply wanted more. In fact, a lot of people have reported that they immediately started reading the book a second time.
For these reasons, and because I had a lot more to say, I decided to give my readers what they were asking for: A daily reader, based on the ideas presented in Coffee Self-Talk. Daily, bite-sized nuggets to get you thinking more about what matters each day, and taking action on creating your magical life.
And here it is!
This book will deepen your connection to yourself, to others, and to the flow of the new, epic life youre building. The aim of this book is to give you a little tidbit each day of something to think about, or do, thatll make you happier and help you manifest your dream life faster.
My reason for writing The Coffee Self-TalkDaily Readers (thats plural, as this is the first in a series) is to help you while youre in the middle of making life changes using Coffee Self-Talk. Think of this as a booster shot. Daily pick-me-ups of happiness and love, ways to add feel-good feelings as you surf the waves of life, and tips for ensuring your success.
This book is not meant to replace your daily Coffee Self-Talk routine that you do with your script. No. This book is for the five-minutes after your Coffee Self-Talk time. Its for the people who are pumped up, on fire, changing their lives, and wanting to set themselves up for epically successful wins in every way.
Note: If you havent read Coffee Self-Talk yet, I recommend that you read it. While its not required reading for this Daily Reader, the material it covers is the foundation for your life change. This Daily Reader will still be useful, with all its tips for helping you live a happier and more effective life, but Coffee Self-Talk is like the cake, and this Daily Reader is the icing on that cake.

Introduction
Dear friend,
The daily routine outlined in the book, Coffee Self-Talk, is changing tens of thousands of peoples lives. And if you havent started doing the routine yet, it can change your life, in both the short term and the long term.
In the short term, during those moments when youre actually reading your Coffee Self-Talk scripts in the morning (or listening to recorded scripts), life feels good, you feel amazing, and love pours out of you. (Or it will soon, if you keep it up!) You feel the effects as youre doing it. In the present.
And most days, your Coffee Self-Talk routine will infuse your entire day with powerful, dream-manifesting juice. These are more short-term benefits, lasting throughout the day. Over time however, the things you say and feel during your morning ritual become ingrained in the grooves of your brain, the beats of your heart, and the sparkles in your soul. You start to rewire your brain to become the person you want to be, and to live the life you want to live. This becomes the default you, over timea new you, living a new life. These are the long-term benefits.
