A year ago, I wrote a book called Coffee Self-Talk, in which I shared a simple but profound process for how you can take five minutes a day, with your delicious cup of coffee, and start living a magical life. In that book, I described how my life had looked fine on papermy family had love, health, and successbut something was missing. My life lacked purpose. It lacked sparkle. There was no shine, no magic. That is, until I started doing my daily Coffee Self-Talk ritual, and then BAM! Everything changed, in just a few days.
As of this writing, over a hundred thousand people have that book. Many of them write to me, and they often ask if I have a self-talk routine for bedtime.
It just so happens, I do. I call it Pillow Self-Talk. I use it to wind down my days. Its my favorite way to chill my mind and relax into a state of bliss, so I can easily fall asleep, dream magical dreams, and wake up feeling amazing and ready to take on the world. Doing this special ritual every night aligns my heart and mind to help me continue manifesting my life and dreams, even though Im asleep.
Pillow Self-Talk is similar to Coffee Self-Talk, in that you use amazing self-talk to rewire your brain for living a magical life. But Ive modified Pillow Self-Talk to come at the opposite end of the day. Its during this special time, bedtime, where youll discover how to take advantage of the last minutes before falling asleep to help you make your dreams come true. And your brain gets busy rewiring itself, into a brain that can make your dreams come true, literally while you sleep.
Think of these two forms of self-talkcoffee and pillowas two bookends to your day. By creating a specific ritual for your self-talk in the morning, with something like a cup of coffee (or other beverage), and then doing the same at night as part of your bedtime routine, the combined effect is extra powerful. Bookending your day with self-talk ingrains it deeply into your daily routine, in a way thats very easy to be consistent, because you never forget to drink your morning coffee, and you definitely never forget to go to bed.
Note: You dont need to have read Coffee Self-Talk prior to reading this book, but if you havent read it, I highly recommend it because its a life-changing morning ritual.
Pillow Self-Talk and Coffee Self-Talk both work on the same principles, but as well see, they differ in style and substance. And in their effects.
Are both forms of self-talk required for creating your magical life? No. You can do one or the other. Or you can do what I do, which is both. I infuse my entire day with as much positivity and elevated thoughts and feelings as I can, because it feels so friggin good. I am my happiest when I do this. I feel my lightest and most joyful in my soul when I have my brain and heart aligned with good thoughts and feelings. Its what keeps me driven, focused, and attracting massive love and abundance. So, yeah. I do both, and I recommend you do too, if you want to maximize the magical vibes and fantastic results.
