Finding Your Own Happy: The Soul-Searchers Guide to Peace and Happiness in Everyday Life: summary, description and annotation

We offer to read an annotation, description, summary or preface (depends on what the author of the book "Finding Your Own Happy: The Soul-Searchers Guide to Peace and Happiness in Everyday Life" wrote himself). If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

Part self-help, part personal narrative, Finding Your Own Happy gives the perpetual soul searchers, who seem to continually experience inner turmoil and emotional upheaval, the missing insights, keys, and tools that could finally make the difference.
With more than just trite answers or quick fixes to complex problems, transformational kinesiologist Elana Davidson takes those searching for happiness deep into their own experiences and psyche to help them discover what is true for them, and what is uniquely required for them to feel sane and happy. Finding Your Own Happy serves as an in-depth guide for the conscious soul searcher who wonders why, after so much work on themselves, they still arent all that happy. Inside, Elana helps readers understand why therapy isnt making a difference, the impact of adverse childhood experiences, and why everyone needs their own individual methods to reach happiness. Finding Your Own Happy isnt a one-size-fits-all prescription of happiness but rather points readers in the right direction and gives them the tools to discover on their own what will get them to a place of true happiness and wellbeing in their life.

For the genuine and authentic expression of self we knew so well in childhood but later somehow lost, and for all those who have the courage to find that place and revive it within themselves.

When you come to the edge of all the light you have and must take a step into - photo 5

When you come to the edge of all the light you have, and must take a step into the darkness of the unknown, believe that one of two things will happen. Either there will be something solid for you to stand onor you will be taught how to fly.

P ATRICK O VERTON

D o you feel like youve done all the right things, tried all the right tools, processes or therapies, and youre still not all that happy?

Youve heard that happiness is a choice, right? But does it feel like a choice for you?

How about, Change your thinking, change your life.?

Or, You create your own reality

You just need to get out more

To think more positively

Try a little harder apply yourself maybe if you would just

Cheer up, life isnt that bad. Look at all the great things you have going for you.

After a while I started to hate all this advice, all these clich sayings, because my feelings of unhappiness werent because I wasnt trying. They werent because I didnt have the right attitude or wasnt thinking the right thoughts. They were so much deeper than that. Id done so much of that self-help, be-positive, happiness-is-a-choice kind of thing, but despite everything I still didnt feel all that happy. I didnt know why, and I didnt know what to do about it.

No one else did either, because everything they suggested, even if it helped a little, didnt ultimately bring me to a place of being happy. Sure, I could feel a little more happy, but it was like rolling a rock uphill most of the time. As soon as I got the rock up the hill, it would roll right back down.

Exhausting.

Maybe youve tried all those suggestions and theyre still not working? Or youre tired of working so hard all the time just to be a little happier? That was totally true for me. I wished I could find someone who could really get it and stop giving me all these surface-level solutions to confusing and complex problems. My unhappiness was not just because Im not thinking the right thoughts, it was so much more nuanced and complex than that.

I tried the psycho-therapeutic model but it didnt really fit for me and I didnt find it all that helpful. I didnt want to go on drugs and I didnt want to be diagnosed with a mental health disorder. I just wanted to figure out what my real problems were and why I had to work seemingly so much harder than anyone else just to feel happy.

I wished there was someone, some resource, some healer, some psychic, some system or process that could help me understand what was going on with me, and the confusing and challenging emotional and energetic experiences I was having and not just understand it but give me a solution that could bring me to a new state of being.

I searched and I searched but I came up short, over and over and over again. I got little fragments of information from lots of different places. Once Id gathered enough information I started to put it together in my own way. Finally, through many years and lots of trial and error I discovered for myself what the missing pieces were.

It was hard and slow-going and sometimes it didnt seem like I was making any progress at all. It still seemed like I was just pushing that boulder up that hill and it still kept rolling down though maybe the pushing wasnt as hard and the rolling down wasnt as far. Gathering enough information and learning how to use and apply it to myself over time did finally make a lasting and significant difference. Now I know what it means to be happy without trying. Happiness is my natural state of being.

This book is the gathering together of my story and all the insights, tools, and processes that helped me finally find my own happy.

If youve wondered for a long time why happiness seems so much harder for you than it does for everybody else, or why you cant seem to figure it out, this book will offer some of the missing keys and insights that will open the door to creating greater happiness and fulfillment in your life. Each time I offer these keys to others, whether they be friends, clients, or people I encounter in passing, I delight in witnessing the access to greater happiness that it creates.

Happiness may be a choice, but its only a choice when you have the capacity to choose it. If you dont have all the right information or understanding about whats truly going on for you or what will truly create happiness for you, it can feel like its an impossible choice to make.

My hope for you in reading this book is that you will see what youve been missing, and instead of feeling pissed off when people tell you to just think positive, you will understand what truly creates your happiness, and happiness will be a choice that you can easily make.

Whats My Problem and Why Cant I Seem to Figure It Out?

H ow long have you been searching? Searching for an answer to an unknown problem that, if you could solve it, would finally bring you to a place of truly feeling happy and sane in your life?

You might wonder whats wrong with you, why you cant seem to get how to make your life workto feel happy, normal, sane, like seemingly everyone else. You know something isnt quite right, but youre not really sure whatand if you dont know what your problem is, its pretty hard to change it. You dont get it either because youre super self-aware, youre an intelligent, caring and conscious human being and it seems like youre doing all the right things.
