HYPNOTHERAPY
FOREWORD
You have picked upthis book hopefully because you would like to learn how to usehypnosis as a tool to solve problems; both physical andpsychological/emotional. Whether they are your own issues, orperhaps you wish to help your family and friends feel better? Maybeyoure reading this book with a view towards becoming aprofessional hypnotherapist or maybe you are one already I dontknow, and it doesnt matter.
I have written thisbook whilst bearing in mind a couple of possible scenariospertaining to you; the Reader:
This could be yourfirst tentative step into the world of hypnotherapy, and maybe youjust want to see if its something that resonates with you, personally
You might already befamiliar with some basic hypnosis and hypnotherapy processes, butmaybe you are looking to expand your knowledge by investigatingdifferent views about how best to practice hypnotherapy (always agood idea, in my opinion.)
How about, thewell-read, already-practicing professional Hypnotherapist, lookingfor some light reading material (or checking out the competition!Haha!)
Or perhaps you donthave any interest in ever practicing hypnotherapy whatsoever, andyou found this book in the store and thought; ah, Hell, why not? Ihavent got anything better to read today.
Whichever category youfit into, you will undoubtedly gain a great deal of positivereal-world practical knowledge from this book, and hopefully youwill be entertained whilst doing so.
I have not writtenthis book to teach you how to set up and run a successfulhypnotherapy practice. I am, however, entirely focussed on teachingyou how to become a successful hypnotherapist in practice. Theresno business start-up info here. If you wish to learn how to set upyour own hypnotherapy practice as a career then unless you alreadyhave experience being self-employed, you should be investing in asmall business management course/book. This book wastes no paperexplaining the merits and hurdles of self-employment, tax, advertising, etc.
The informationcontained in this book is the result of my many years spentstudying and practicing hypnosis mostly efficaciously, butoccasionally unsuccessfully (even I was a beginner once so in allhonesty you can reap the benefits of both my novice mistakes and ofmy learned successes as you are learning from this book now.)
This guide serves asan evaluation of my own hypnotherapy experiences and the techniquesgained and honed through both professional and personal capacitiesas a hypnotist. The book also serves as an instruction manual sothat you are able to achieve the same results that I havepersonally been striving towards (and successfully achieving) sincebeginning my career as a professional hypnotherapist this will beaccomplished by breaking down techniques into manageable (andsimple) language and including step-by-step scripts if you will, for you to utilise and modify to suit your own requirements.
I have personally reada great deal of books on the subject of hypnotherapy, and you quitefrequently find the author making simple ideas ridiculouslycomplicated and often barely intelligible to those people thatdidnt devour a dictionary for breakfast Though it is wonderful tohave a broad grasp of the English language I find the unnecessarysupposition that those individuals who are striving to amalgamatehereunto ambiguous theories pertaining to hypnotism into a highlydeveloped cogent, strategic model of individual understanding musthave been born unto this reality as literary masters from theirinfancy to be of an entirely pedantic nature
Or:
I think itscompletely unnecessary to bog someone down with a whole bunch ofpretentious words just because they intend to be a hypnotherapist. You dont have to be Shakespeare to use your tongue correctly, andyou dont need to be obscure in your choice of words to makelasting subconscious changes in subjects. In fact, sometimes youbarely need to say anything at all
Why make somethingthat is practically a fairly simple subject, difficult? Anyway, Idigress.
