T his book may seem to be a departure for me, a lighthearted journey into a sort of science of the soul rather than a serious exploration of the spirit world. In fact, my spirit guide, Grey Eagle, led me to this science, and it was he who indicated that it was important that I develop my understanding of this science and explore it. At the heart of it are things called energy groups and soul signs. They are not hard concepts to follow, and they are quite practical. The more you read, the more you know, and in time both make perfect sense.

What may not make sense at first is why I chose to write a book on this subject, with so many more important things to write about. Arent broadcasts from the spirit world, stories of spirit communication, and inspiring stories of healing more critical than delivering this soul mapping that appears (on the surface) to be a type of astrology? Let me explain. I believe that if I can help you unravel the mystery of your soul even a little, then you will have been given the key to open the door to profound personal growth. If we can understand, even a little, why we are here on this earth, we can create meaning in our own lives by making choices that allow us to be better people, that heal us, that give us hope for ourselves and for the world. What could be more important than that?

The knowledge presented in Soul Signs can, if we want it to, change our perspective about ourselves, about others, about our relationships, and about our world. It can open our eyes. It can enlighten us. It can help us grow in all the ways we so want to grow.

At each turn in life there are new lessons. Some I miss, and some I grasp. But Grey Eagle has taken great care to teach me patiently about soul signs. Now it is my turn to teach you. I hope you will be as amazed, inspired, and excited as I am when you discover what Soul Signs can do for you.

PART ONE

I t was just a little more than five years ago that the subject of soul signs first came up, and the moment Grey Eagle mentioned it to me, I was fascinated. Considering the fact that I have been working with the spirit world for more than twenty years, some of you might find it odd that I hadnt been educated about this important spiritual knowledge sooner. The reason is simple: Until then, I had not been ready, and Grey Eagle knew it. (Nor were any of us, although perhaps some of you have had a glimpse or two.) Since that time I have been an avid and attentive student, learning as much as I can about one of the most fascinating and insightful subjects I have ever been privileged to be involved with, and the greatest thing for me now is that I really get it.

Why was my mother the way she was? Because she was a Fire sign, a Retrospective Soul.

Why does my daughter respond to some situations the ways she does? Because she is an Earth sign, a Visionary Soul.

Why is my sister so easygoing, so different from me? Because shes an Air sign, a Prophet Soul.

How is it that my friend Chris can always find a compromise? Well, shes a Water sign, an Old Soul, and so compromise is easier for her than for others.
