DEDICATION PAGE
Special message to my children:
My Kelsey, Nia, and Summer, you have given me strength to carry on when the weight of the world was on my shoulders. As young as you are, you each encourage me to push forward and trust God. You have endured so much and have watched your fathers life as a worshipper in front of crowds and personally at home. So my desire and motivation of this book is not just to develop something for others to join in the creation of atmosphere in worship, but to leave behind something for you that will allow you to always remember the ministry that God used your father in. I pray this makes you a worshipper in the good and bad times.
- My love moves forward and creates the atmosphere.
- I love you, your father
This book is dedicated to my mentor First Lady Vanassa Harsley.
In 2002 I was drowning with no direction, at a crossroads leading to the Lord or leading to a riotous life. But you grabbed me and saw in me what I didnt see in myselfa young teenager, you turned into leader. You taught me how to lead with prayer, precision, character, anointing, and power. Most of all you taught me to focus on what mattered and that was souls coming into the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. I thank you for not throwing me away and for speaking words of wisdom into my life. Your prayers, words, and actions will forever be in the very fabric of who I am today. I will forever miss you, but I am confident of this very thing that he will bring us together again on a cloud to see Him face to face. There we will be forever with the Lord!
- Your Son in the Gospel
Im determined to spend more time with you.
Anchor Scripture:
Psalm 27:45 The Message
Im asking God for one thing, only one thing:
To live with him in his house my whole life long.
Ill contemplate his beauty; Ill study at his feet.
Thats the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world,
The perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic.

I t is six oclock and my alarm rings to awaken me. As my eyes clear, I can see the light creeping through my blinds. Its time to get up and get the day going: showering, shaving, ironing, preparing the kids for school, and preparing for dinner tonight. I am off to work facing a highway slowdown because someone decided not to be patient. Wow what a morning! I get to work and as soon as I walk through the door, it is as if the world is on fire. Complaints, meetings, personal issues, and more fill the entire day. There is no stopping, no relief, and no break, just going and going. The work day ends and I am back on the road trying to navigate the rush hour to get home. In my mind are all of the things I need to do when I arrive: get dinner ready, pick up the kids from club, help them with their homework, eat dinner, and then go to bed.
The stress of the day has weighed me down, and as I sit on the edge of the bed, tears begin to fill my eyes. What is happening to me? I am tired physically and mentally. The mental is more draining and consuming the outlook of my bleak life. I am missing something; there is a void in my life. Doing what I have to do is not whats bothering memy mind is what is bothering me. Empty and malnourished in my spirit, I pull up what was taught to me. The only one who can fill the void is Jesus. He has to be the piece of this complex puzzle that keeps me going without meaning. So, I began a journey to spend more time with him, and within a month, my meaningless life became full of purpose.
So, I share this with you, a journey for those who feel they are empty and life has become meaningless. You see God assures us in Jeremiah 29:13: When you come looking for me, youll find me. With all of the hustle and bustle of life, our jobs, and our responsibilities, our inner life becomes malnourished and thirsty for something more. We get to the point when we sit on the edge of our beds and declare, There has to be more than this in life. Well yes, there is, and you have to start somewhere to reclaim your life and connect with the one who will stick closer to you than a brother. He will take you high above your situations and grant clarity for you and contentment as you examine each one.
David in Psalm 27:45 asked God for one thing and that was to spend more time with him. He knew that God fulfilled all of the emptiness in his life. The problems that he faced became small and no longer antagonized him.
The secret of Davids public confidence was his private obedience: he took time to fellowship with the Lord and get directions from Him (Be Worshipful, Wiersbe, Warren W.).
It was the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, a perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic. With God the world is turned down and His words are turned up in your ear, feeding and rejuvenating your soul.
The life of a worshiper creates an atmosphere (tone, mood, situation, surroundings) that lingers with him or her throughout the day and when repeated or becomes a habit flowing from their life.
