O ver the years, when we have looked for wisdom for our own marriage or for advice to give couples who came to us for counsel, we turned to the truth of Scripture. In our four decades of marriage, Scripture has been our compass. Based on Gods clear message for marriages and families, our ministry, FamilyLife, was founded in 1976 and has sought to bring those blueprints to home builders around the world.

Learning about these couples provides an overview of the entire Bible and Gods great love and grace for mankind.
Even if you have a limited understanding of the Bible, you may already know that it displays the lives of men and women as they really are, hiding none of their humanityfears, mistakes, or rebellious ways. Someone has said, Tomorrow you will be the same person you are today, except for the people you meet and the books you read. And finally, let us say a word about the authors. When you meet Robert and Bobbie Wolgemuth, it isnt just their last name that is distinctive. This is a couple that lives with distinction. Weve watched them on their journey to mountaintops, and weve prayed for them as theyve weathered storms together. They are serious followers of Christ who seek to surrender to Him and His lordship every day. They live where you live, and their authenticity is both refreshing and exhilarating. I may have met a more talented couple, but honestly, Im not sure who that couple would be if its not Robert and Bobbie. Singing, speaking, writing, leading, loving, laughing they really are remarkable. And we like them.
Now we commend this helpful and insightful book to you. Whether it takes a year or even longer to meander your way through, you are going to really enjoy the journey.
