Browne Sylvia - The two Marys : the hidden history of the mother and wife of Jesus

J UST AS MUCH has been written about Jesus Christ, there have been many books written about Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Jesus. The phenomenal and continuing success of Dan Browns book The Da Vinci Code has sparked the interest and curiosity of millions in Mary Magdalene and inspired a number of recent books about her. The books on Mary the mother of Christ are usually confined to the visions or manifestations of her in various parts of the world. This includes Bernadette at Lourdes and the three children she appeared to in Portugal in 1917. The problem with writing about both of these Marys is the dearth of information about them. Both get lost in the New Testament of the Bible and the various religious writings of Christendom, and both were suppressed by the Catholic Church. It is only recently that the Church has recognized the true value of these women who played such an important part in the life of our Lord.

This book was written to shed some truth and illumination on these two women. They were more powerful and a greater light and support system to Jesus than anyone gives them credit for. This book emphasizes not only their relationship with each other, but also the profound influence they had in their interactions with our Lord.

In writing this book, I have melded the few known facts about these two fascinating women with the information I have received from my spirit guide Francine. I believe this will give the reader a clearer insight and more accurate picture of the truth about them. In some instances, the truth might create some controversy and ruffle the feathers of those who have believed or put forth an inaccurate picture in the name of religion, but truth always finds a way to eventually come to the foreground for all to see.

An example of this is of course the reversal of the Catholic Churchs stance on Mary Magdalene. She was at first declared a harlot and was put forth to the masses as such for hundreds of years, until the facts could no longer substantiate that viewpoint. The Church then reversed itself in 1969 and admitted it had erred, putting forth a more holy and revered outlook on Mary Magdalene.

We can also look at the various visions or manifestations of what most consider to be Mary the mother of Jesus. Francine, my spirit guide, says that all of these visions and manifestations were of the Mother God Azna and not Mary the mother of Jesus. Controversial, you say? Yes, but notice that in all of these visions and manifestations there is no mention anywhere that the woman manifesting called herself Mary. She is called the lady in most instances or even the mother of god, but never names herself.

Even though both of these Marys have been misrepresented and suppressed by various factions of religion, I think you will enjoy reading about them and how much they influenced our Lord. As always, it is the truth as I know it to be.

One last bit of information before we start. In writing this book, I was amazed to find out that I actually had visions of what was happening and what was being said. This has never happened to me before, and these visions were very clear and precise. To tell the truth, I was somewhat taken aback at first, until I realized that this was a manifestation of the infusion that I was getting from God. I can also say with all humility that I knew these visions had to be communicated through my writing, and to the best of my ability, I have done just that. God does work in mysterious ways, and I felt blessed to describe these visions in these pages, which describe the lives of Jesus, Mary, and Magdalene and all of the interactions that they had together. It was like I was actually there and experienced all that was happening as they were experiencing it. I just hope I have done them justice. Now, onward to their incredible journey together.

I N MY BOOK The Mystical Life of Jesus, I touched on the fact that in the early formative years of Christianity women taught, gave classes and knowledge, and even held what we might term services in honor of Jesus. This is nothing more than a continuation of ancient traditions in which children were taught at their mothers knee about religion, God, and life. As Christianity became more formalized and dogmatic in the second century of the Common Era, women were weaned out of any significant role in the new religion. With the Council of Nicaea, held in the early fourth century and presided over by the Roman emperor Constantine, Christianity became a purely patriarchal religion, and women were completely pushed out from holding any power in the hierarchy. If the Church had been formed today, there would have been a tremendous uprising by not only feminists, but human rights groups. But history is history, and the Church was formed at a time when women were considered less than and subservient to men. What today would have stirred tremendous controversy was almost universally accepted at that time.
