WELCOME TO YOUR
VERY OWN 8-WEEK
TRANSFORMATION!
Over the past 10 years, the team behind the 8 Weeks to Wow (8WTW) program that Chief and I created have produced jaw-dropping results beyond anything the health and fitness industry has ever seen.
Initially, this eating plan came about when Chief and I were hired to turn 13 fit, but not toned, individuals into Lycra-clad warriors in only 6 weeks for the 2008 hit television series Gladiators . Many of the fitness professionals who were approached claimed that it would be simply impossible to achieve the desired results in 6 weeks, but we took up the challenge. The objectives were clear: strip away excess fat, increase the athletes strength, speed and endurance, and most importantly (as Lycra is an unforgiving fabric) give them great muscle tone. The men needed to look powerful and awe-inspiring, while the women had to have that rare balance of femininity and athleticism. Despite our limitations, the outcome was nothing less than amazing.
After the success of those transformations, we were asked by our Original Bootcamp and personal training clients if they could use the same eating plan, in addition to following our workout routines. Of course, the 6-week plan needed to be adjusted to suit everyday people with families, so our plan evolved into the 8 Weeks to Wow program. Once we launched the first mainstream 8WTW program, the word spread fast. When people realised the kind of results that were possible in a relatively short amount of time, they were thrilled. And, unlike other diets, they found that the results stuck and were pleasantly easy to maintain.
Our transformations have featured on the covers of major magazines and in scores of media articles. Theyve been seen by international visitors, who have read about our program and wanted to take part themselves. Year round, there are people from all over the world participating in 8WTW people from Australia, France, the UK and all over America. This group includes workers on deep-sea oil rigs, as well as soldiers in Afghanistan, families in Hong Kong and individuals living in the most rural parts of Australia. These people all have one thing in common: they are committed to change.
Since 2008, when we launched 8WTW to a broader audience, our program has had literally thousands of success stories people whose lives have been transformed immeasurably. We have heard so many different stories, from people dropping a clothing size or ten, becoming fitness models, feeling so much happier in themselves and, most importantly, people unshackling themselves from the myriad health issues that are associated with being overweight, including Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and fertility complications. Participants in our program have entered physique competitions, run marathons, competed in iron man challenges and triathlons. Some have even returned to professional sports.
The 8WTW program is an 8-week commitment to change it involves getting used to new ideas, new workouts and new flavours. The best part is that its achievable for anyone ready to make that commitment to themselves. Whether you have a family or you keep crazy working hours and have limited time for training, 8WTW can fit into your busy schedule. We know this because weve seen people do it time and time again.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT
A huge part of the 8WTW plan is, of course, the food that you fuel your body with. Our eating plan has evolved from a training program for elite athletes to a program for everyday people and everyday athletes who want to get fit fast. The aim of 8WTW is to reboot your mindset and your body so that it can best use the foods you are eating. We call it a metabolic optimisation eating plan. Basically, its a high-protein, low-fat and super- low-carb plan thats designed to reset your bodys resting metabolic rate. And that means burning more fat, all the time.
We have developed the 8WTW program in collaboration with chefs, dietitians, nutritionists, GPs and physiologists, so you can be assured of its effectiveness and the positive changes it will have on your body and mind. But everyones situation is unique, so if you do have any existing health issues, it goes without saying that you need to consult your doctor before you start, to make sure the program fits in with your treatment plan.
The foundation of our food plan is something called The List, and it is (youve guessed it) a master list of the foods you should be eating at different points in this program. Dont panic if your favourite thing to eat isnt on our list. Remember, this is ONLY 8 weeks of your life its not forever. The ingredients on The List are there for a reason: these are the foods weve found most effective for this plan. Who knows you may even discover a few new favourites!
To ensure that your time on the 8WTW program is not just rewarding but also pleasurable, weve chosen the most delicious and easy recipes from our online plan. Theyre so good that you wont feel as though youre missing out . Being able to enjoy satisfying food will help you achieve better results. If there are things on The List that you dont like, simply work around them. And as for all those foods you love, like fruit, rice, pasta and nuts, youll gradually reintroduce them into your diet at the right time. It will work; it just takes some commitment. And, unlike other diets and fads that you may have tried, you wont regain the weight you lose, as long as you dont go back to your old habits.
