Hello. My name is Tonda Parham and you are looking at somebody who lost 90 pounds in eight months. When I first started, I weighed 250 pounds. My clothing size was 20W. I was a fine big woman until, one day, the mirror told me the truth. I had gotten hurt on a past job and was not able to walk for a period of time. Due to my injury, I could not wear a shoe on my left foot for two years. Thats how I started accumulating all these pounds.
I got sick and tired of looking at myself in the state that I was in. I asked Dr. Grego if he could help me. He said, Yes, Tonda, I sure can. I asked what I needed to do. He said, You have to change what you are eating first. I said ok. So, I began to eat high-fat and low-carbs.
For the first month, I didn't do right at all. Guess what? I did not lose anything. In the second month, I did the eating plan halfway, meaning that I ate right sometimes, while other times I ate bad. Guess what? I lost a little but not much. Then came the third month, I did it the way I was supposed to, and the weight came off. I know you are wondering: What are you saying, Tonda? Well, you have to have a well-made-up mind to change your situation, in weight loss or whatever you are doing. You have to get to the point of being uncomfortable with yourself. Guess what? You can! After being in ketosis, my brain became fat-adapted. When your brain becomes fat-adapted, that is a new lifestyle.
