A resurrected form of Ketogenic diet withsome few modifications called Medium Chain Triglyceride diet found expression,but its usage died as quickly as it came to limelight in 1994.

This process is achieved by lowering the level of carb intake to 50grams in a day. But what is ketosis? Ketosis is a metabolic process where theproduction of ketones by the liver is undertaken. What usually happens when theintake of carbohydrate is lowered is that the body adjusts and shifts intoketosis. A high percentage of cells in the human body utilizes ketones as asource of energy. The usage of ketone bodies by the cells usually occur at atime of long fast or restricted consumption of carbohydrate. Ketones canprovide energy for most organs in the body. It is very important to know thatglucose is the primary energy for most cells in the body. For the purpose ofconserving the use of energy for futuristic use, the body stores excess glucoseas glycogen. This glycogen is found in the liver and in the muscle.
