CONTENTS
PREFACE
Welcome to the AP French Language and Culture review book. This guide will help you understand the major components of the exam and give you tips to obtain a higher score.
The book includes some learning strategies to use in a systematic way throughout the year, a test-like diagnostic exam, two practice exams, and many authentic resources with multiple-choice questions that reflect the format of the exam. The AP French Language and Culture Exam is a panorama of the Francophone world, and tests the skills you developed in French in the last four years. Imagine the test as if you were reading a Francophone newspaper online. There are many tabs (themes), titles of articles (sub-themes, introductions and organizers) and finally articles, audio, advertisement, and other things. When you take the test, you will in fact be clicking on tabs to read critically, to listen with interest, to answer thorough and pertinent questions, and to compare and develop an informed point of view that will allow you to participate in a conversation on a given topic. The exam can be truly seen as a comprehensive reading experience, a conversation with a friend, and a cultural report written after a long stay in a place where people speak franais.
