The book business has been good to me. The business of books has taken me on a journey that most authors only dream of. So, I know first-hand that having a book or being an author or expert/author can give you instant celebrity status. Because of my books Ive rubbed elbows with platinum selling and Grammy award-winning artists, New York Times best-selling authors, actors, actresses, the top comedians, NFL, NBA, and MLB players, rappers, you name it... Yes, this has been my networking experience all because of being an author. I get called to do speaking engagements and get flown in to host book events and parties. But welcome to the 21st Century Social-Media-Era, in which all marketing has been taken to the latest stratosphere! There are so many ways to market a book: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Roku, Fire TV... the list goes on and on and on. And the fantastic thing is all of these marketing platforms include the oldest but time-tested trend where AUTHORS are considered the EXPERTS and the new money-getting ROCK STARS!
I recall seeing Stacey Abrams on the campaign trail as she was running for Governor of Georgia. I thought, she is an excellent speaker. Shes smart and comes across as very warm and genuine.
