What You Need To Know About Carb Cycling

There are many people who are looking for ways and means of losing weight without torturing themselves with hunger. Carb cycling is the best way to go about it. Are you still wondering what is carb cycling? This is a diet plan that involves alternation of low carb days with high carb days. This is also known as carb ratio diet and it was developed by a dietician known as Jayson Hunter.

This does not mean that you will not be able to eat your favorite foods. The plan can be customized in such a way that you will be able to reward yourself with your favorite meal from time to time. More and more people are using carb cycling as a method of weight loss since it has been proven to work out. There are some individuals who are even able to lose more than 15 pound in 4 weeks time.

In most of the foodstuff that we normally eat carbs are usually the major components. This means that most of our calories intakes are derived from the carbs. With this in mind you get to understand that they can contribute to weight addition or loss. They should not be avoided completely since this can lead to negative results. Remember a proper diet requires us to consume fats, proteins and carbohydrates as well.

For our body to function properly carbs are very necessary. This is because the body metabolism relies on the amount of carbs present in the body. The metabolism tends to slow once the body sense that the amount of carbs in the body is reducing. This is not very good for the body since it will not function properly. When trying to lose weight among the worst possible things that can happen is a slow metabolism.

When carrying out carb cycling for weight loss, it is recommended that you alternate what you eat each day. This way the body will not detect carb shortage thus slow metabolism will not be a consequence. This way you will be able to lose weight as intended without any negative result.

There are various factors that should be considered when planning for diet rationing. These factors include:

High carbohydrates amount should be consumed when you have a hard work out activities. This is because the body requires a lot of carbohydrates during such a day. It is usually recommended that you take the carbohydrates before the training session. This will help you to be able to exercise harder and also lead to saturation of muscle glycogen.

You should also be aware that there are chances of water gain after working out hard with high amount of carbohydrates. This is because the body usually stores about 4 grams of water for every gram of carbohydrate consumed. This weight usually recedes after sometimes.

When choosing the type of food to eat, it is highly recommended that you opt for glucose or carbohydrates that act as glucose. In you happen to in take a lot of fructose there high chances of them being stored in the body as fat thus resulting to weight gain instead of loss.
