Johnson, The New Good Vibrations Guide to Sex by Cathy Winks and Anne Semans, and She Comes First by Ian Kerner), expert interviews, personal interviews, and two unscientific online surveys.

C LIT-OLOGY S URVEYS

Using an anonymous online sex survey, we gathered intimate information from 420 women and 259 men. Many participants found the survey links at an online magazine for literary erotica, OystersandChocolate.com, so we assume that most, if not all, respondents were at least sexually open enough to read erotic short stories. Many of the colorful quotes, statistics, graphs, and charts in this book are extrapolated from this survey, but please keep in mind that we are not scientists, nor are we professional statisticians. Any identifying information attached to direct quotes, such as names, ages, and occupations, has been altered to protect the anonymity of the speaker.
