KIMBERLEY RUFER-BACH is a freelance writer, editor, and literary consultant based in Boulder Creek, California. She writes for magazines, newspapers, and businesses. Her work includes the text of The First Men in the Moon Math, a best-selling educational computer game. Egyptology is one of her main interests and she contributes to KMT, A Modern Journal of Ancient Egypt. Kimberley is currently writing a novel which is set in ancient Egypt.

BRAD BUNNIN has practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1966. For more than a decade, hes concentrated exclusively on publishing law, representing hundreds of writers and over three dozen publishers throughout North America. Brad is principal author of The Writers Legal Companion (Addison-Wesley, 1988), and hes taught publishing law at the Graduate School of Journalism, University of California, Berkeley.

MICHAEL DECKER is a vice president of the National Leather Association, Seattle Chapter. He lectures nationally on the S/M circuit and is thoroughly committed to sexual education. He is currently gathering material for a comprehensive compendium for psychologists interested in his particular field of expertise.

J. PAUL FEDOROFF, M.D., F.R.C.P.(C), is a staff psychiatrist in the Forensic Division of the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, Associate Psychiatrist with the Neuropharmacology Division of the Toronto Western Hospital, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Toronto, Canada. He has published and lectured extensively in the areas of neuropsychiatry and sexual disorders.

FLASH GORDON, M.D., F.A.C.E.P. Dr. Gordon is a San Francisco physician. He worked with the Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic from 1978 through 1990, and was Medical Director of the Medical Section there from 1985 through 1990. He was the Emergency Medicine Residency Director at San Francisco General Hospital from 1978 through 1980, and was active in emergency medicine from 1976 through 1988. He is a columnist in CityBike Magazine, the Northern California Motorcycle monthly, and recently compiled a selection of his columns into a book entitled Blood, Sweat, and Gears. Dr. Gordon founded the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of Doctors Ought to Care, better known as D.O.C. He also founded H.E.A.R. (Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers). He is Chairman of the Board of the Haight Ashbury Switchboard, and hosts the Medical Conference on the W.E.L.L., an electronic community based in Sausalito. Dr. Gordons personal interests are diverse.

CONRAD HODSON is a kinky blacksmith, a native of Oregon, and has been an S/M player for 18 years. He lives in Eugene with his lover of 25 years, who was also his first play partner. He feels strongly that no one else should have to take as long as he did to find out how S/M really works, and is committed to education and outreach about safe, sane, and consensual play. He is the president of the Oregon Guild Activists in S/M and has served two terms on the Council of the National Leather Association.

JOHN JOSS is an experienced television and radio broadcaster, director, writer, and author of several fiction and nonfiction books. John graduated from the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. He was also an actor in Londons theaters and today writes teleplays and scripts. Johns interests are diverse. He flies everything from gliders to fighter jets, races motorcycles, and devotes time to assist writers with grammatical editing.

H. MARTIN MALIN, PH.D., FACCS, is Associate Professor of Clinical Sexology at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and Consulting Clinical Sexologist at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Sexual Disorders Clinic. He is President of Sexology Associates, Inc., a private practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of paraphilic sexual disorders and gender identity/role concerns. Dr. Malin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology, a Board Certified Sex Therapist and Clinical Supervisor, and a Life Clinical Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists, a member of AASECT, SSSS and numerous other professional societies.

KAREN MENDELSOHN came out as an S/M player in 1986. She has been coordinator of the Society of Janus and an officer of the National Leather Association. In 1989 she founded QSM which gives classes in San Francisco on all aspects of domination and S/M play. QSM has also held art exhibits, readings, and video screenings of S/M artwork.

LORNA MEYER holds advanced degrees from Vanderbilt University and Stanford in religious studies with minors in anthropology and art history. Lorna has extensive knowledge of foreign cultures.

JAMES DAVID-PETER MURPHY, PH.D. Dr. Murphy holds a doctorate in psychology, and specializes in the field of psychopathology. He has training in massage therapy, Chinese acupuncture and acupressure. He founded and directs Night-Thunder, Incorporated, a centre for intense internal transformational therapy. There he practices as a psychoneuroimmunologist.

FAKIR MUSAFAR is known worldwide for his forty plus years of research and for his personal practice of primitive body decoration and rituals. Fakirs views have been expressed in the 1986 film Dances Sacred & Profane (released on home video as Bizarre Rituals), his own book Body Play, Re/Search Publications Modern Primitives (Fakir coined this term in 1979 to describe himself and a few kindred spirits), in Mark Thompsons Leatherfolk, and in numerous issues of Piercing Fans International Quarterly
