- No matter what kind of computer you build (home office or game), the components you need will be the same. You will need a motherboard, central processing unit (processor), memory, memory, power supply, case and monitor. The only thing you may not need if you are using this computer mainly for office work is the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), but it is essential for photo or video editing and gaming. That's a lot. Computer creation tools

- Workspace. For work you will need a large surface, such as a table. To prevent accidental electrostatic discharge (which could damage sensitive components), make sure you are standing on an unprotected surface.
- Screws. You need a Phillips # 2 screwdriver for almost everything. If you are installing an M.2 device, you will also need a Phillips # 0 screw machine.
- Organization system. Most components come with additional parts; some are optional, some are needed for installation in your building. You will need a way to secure the screws, brackets, cables, guides, and so on. Deprived of appropriate organization, these items will be easily get mixed up.
- Multiple sources of light. Build a well-lit place with multiple light sources. You do not have to worry about blocking your only light source when reversing the chassis. Tip: A moving light source can help you analyze the angles of your case. A lantern is an ideal option as it leaves your hands free, but you can also use a flashlight, telephone or desk lamp.

Motherboard
- All other components are included on this circuit board. This is the highway they use to communicate and collaborate. They come in a variety of sizes and configurations, and each one looks slightly different, but all perform the same function. One thing to keep in mind: Make sure you know which processor you want to go with before purchasing the motherboard. Motherboards have several flavors, but the most important thing is to know what kind of nest it has.
- There are basically two types, LGA and AM. You will always see a list of them after them, such as the LGA1150 or AM3. The exact number of LGA and AM parts names for these sockets will change over time, indicating which generation of Intel or AMD chips they support, but the current standards for 2021 (which will work with the latest chips from both manufacturers) are for the LGA1200 Intel and AM4 AMD.
- Motherboards also come in several sizes, the most common being ATX (or "full size"). This is what I generally recommend, especially if this is your first building. Your computer box lists which sized motherboards it supports, so make sure they match.
- The motherboard is the main circuit board and connects to everything. The processor is mounted directly on the motherboard (your CPU and motherboard must be compatible - Intel Desktop Compatibility Tool can help) and all other components - graphics cards, hard drives, memory, optical drives, wireless cards - are integrated into the motherboard.
- One way to reduce the choice of motherboard is to buy a size. The commonest form factors are Extended microATX Mini-ITX and ATX, ATX,.
- Expanded ATX motherboards are the largest (12 by 13 inches or 12 by 10.1 inches) and can often have up to eight slots of RAM (128 GB of RAM).
- ATX motherboards are only slightly smaller (12 by 9.6 inches) and are usually filled with four RAM slots.
- MicroATX motherboards (9.6 x 9.6 inches) can also have four RAM slots.
- Mini-ITX motherboards come in the smallest of four shapes (6.7 x 6.7 inches) and often have two slots for RAM.
Processor (CPU)
- This is your computer brain. It is directly on the motherboard and it is the most important component of your computer. And it doesnt count it is the one of the most expensive. We will achieve this later. If the processor does not mention including thermal paste, be sure to get a few
Graphic Processing Unit Card (GPU)
- If you play games on this computer, you will need a graphics processing unit (also called a graphics card). It is a specialized processor designed and optimized for processing visual data such as graphics in games. It is also used in video and photo editing and other graphically intensive tasks. These cards are hard to find in stock (or at a reasonable price) at the moment, so you may have to wait.
