CONTENTS
INTRODUCTION
When it comes to your financial future, its no longer as simple as work hard, put some money away, and hope for the best in your retirement years. In fact, retirement is no longer about your age or how long youve worked; its about your ability to make and manage your own money.
As youre probably aware, many people have retired well before 60 and many have kept working into their 70s. So, whats the financial difference between these two groups?
Plenty.
There are literally thousands of ways for you to make money in this world, ranging from a basic job to your own career, or even your own business. And, while each of these strategies has its own merits, its been shown that its not how much you make or where you make it that matters most.
Its what you do with what you make that determines how wealthy you end up. Put another way, its how you spend, or preferably invest, that determines your wealth and obviously your retirement age.
By the way, Im not talking about your looking rich and being deep in debt. You know the people; theyre in debt up to their eyeballs, have all the latest stuff, but no real wealth behind it all. Ever met someone like this? More to the point, ever met that person in the mirror?
This is a book you really must read and follow.
Having a good job with a good, or even great, income is of no benefit at all, if all you do is spend or borrow more. Building wealth is about investing at least some of what you make in your future. And, when it comes to investing your money, most people are too scared to make a decision, so they either make no investments or put their money in the hands of a professional broker.
This book is about your learning how to make some of these decisions yourself, gaining knowledge so you can be financially literate and control your own future wealth.
If youre going to retire early, its truly up to you.
And, as they say, retiring at 65 with just enough money to survive until youre 68 or 69 is not the way to end your life.
This book, and Brian and Sarahs story, is simple. And, while Brian and Sarah are not the real names of real people, the story is based upon coaching and teaching literally thousands of people how to create wealth through property investing.
If you follow the principles this book outlines, theyll work for you too. Of course, some will take more time to learn and apply, but maybe you will take less time.
You see, all too often we make things seem a lot harder than they actually are; we think rich people must be smarter than us, luckier than us, or have had rich parents.
The truth is becoming wealthy is not about anything more than learning the keys to success in the wealth game. And these wealth keys arent secrets; theyre tried and true principles that have worked over hundreds of years for many, many, many peoplepeople who took the time to learn the simple keys and then went out and did what they needed to do.
As youll learn from Brian and Sarah, its relatively easy to know what to do; the challenge is getting out there and actually doing it.
