Some ofthe negatives or picture originals were not available to me, so Imade copies of the picture from Dads original text. For some ofthese pictures, it worked well; for others, it did not work well.While my father included pictures of individuals in this book whowere not mentioned, I tried to include those people who wererelated specifically to the Vancels, Lyerlys, and Dotys that weretalked about in this book. As I went through the pictures that Ihad from my father, I included those pictures that I thought wouldbe a good substitute for those pictures which turned out badly orthat I could not find.
