Salmon is a great source of minerals and vitamins.
Salmon has some great health benefits. It is rich in Vitamins A, B and D; contains essential amino acids; A good source of minerals; it improves your cardiovascular health and aids in increasing your metabolism.
Grilled Salmon
This delicious salmon is healthy and extremely easy to whip up.
Serves:
Time: 20 mins + Marinating time
Ingredients:
- vegetable oil, cup
- salmon fillets, 1 lbs.
- lemon pepper, to taste
- water, 1/3 cup
- Salt, to taste
- soy sauce, 1/3 cup
- garlic powder, to taste
- brown sugar, 1/3 cup
Directions:
1. Season salmon fillets with salt, garlic powder and lemon pepper.
2. In a bowl, stir together sugar, oil, water, sugar and soy sauce until combined and fully dissolved. Transfer fish to a Ziploc bag with the marinade. Leave in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 2 hours.
3. Set your grill to preheat to medium heat.
4. Lightly oil grill grate. Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade then discard the remaining soy sauce mixture.
5. Grill the salmon until cooked (7 minutes on each side).
6. Enjoy!
Home Style Sushi Bowl
This delicious home style sushi bowl can easily be whipped within a few minutes and enjoyed by the whole family.
Serves:
Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- sushi rice, 2 c. prepared
- bibinba sansei, c.
- Smoked salmon, c., diced
- kanton sai, c.
- shiso, 2 leaves
- Flying fish roe, 3 tsp.
- umeboshi plum, 1, pitted and finely chopped
- quail eggs, 2, hard-boiled, peeled, halved
Directions:
1. Preferably use a nice shallow salad bowl and add the place the prepared sushi rice in it.
2. Carefully fold the kanton sai and bibinba sansei into the rice until combined.
3. Then top the rice with the rest of the ingredients in whatever order you desire.
4. Serve as soon as you are done assembling. May serve with soy sauce, chili sauce or spicy mayo.
Sweet Grilled Salmon
This salmon recipe has a delicious caramelized crust that will wow just about anyone.
Serves:
Time: 1 hr. 15 mins.
Ingredients:
- c. brown sugar
- thyme, 1 tsp., dried
- c. olive oil
- c. soy sauce
- 2 tsps. lemon pepper
- basil, 1 tsp. dried
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
- tsp. garlic powder
- 24 oz. salmon fillets
Directions:
1. Whisk together your garlic powder, parsley, basil, thyme, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon pepper, and sugar in a bowl, then pour into a resealable plastic bag.
2. Add in your salmon fillets then seal the bag. Allow to marinate for at least an hour, turning occasionally.
3. Set your grill to preheat to medium heat, and lightly grease the grate. Transfer your drained fillets onto the grill and discard the remainder of the marinade.
4. Grill the salmon until browned and fully cooked, about 5 minutes on each side. Enjoy!
Smoked Salmon Asparagus Wraps
This recipe combines eggs with smoked salmon to create a rich and tasty bite.
Serves:
Time: 25 mins.
Ingredients:
- 7 oz. cooked Asparagus Spears
- 8 thin slices of Smoked Salmon
- 2 boiled Eggs
- 1 tbsp. of Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp. of olive oil
Directions:
1. Begin by dressing the cooked asparagus with the olive oil and lemon juice.
2. Lay the salmon slices individually onto a flat surface. Place two pieces of asparagus spears on top of each slice.
3. Roll the salmon slices around the asparagus.
4. Break up the boiled eggs with a fork until they resemble coarse breadcrumbs.
5. To serve, arrange the asparagus spears around a round serving dish in the shape of a sun rays leaving the center empty. Then spoon the egg mixture into the center of the dish as garnish.
6. Serve with crisp bread.
Salmon and Leek Slices
This delicious loaf can be served on its own with something to drink, or as part of a group of appetizers. The slices can be used in combination with spreads or toppings.

Ingredients:
- 2 Leeks
- 9 oz. of Diced Salmon Fillet
- 2 tbsp. of Olive Oil
- 1.5 cups of Flour
- 2 tsp of Baking Powder
