Chapter 1: Easy Teriyaki Recipes
Classic Teriyaki Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/4 C. tamari soy sauce
- 1 C. water
- freshly grated ginger
- 3 tbsps brown sugar
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 2 tbsps cornstarch
- 1/4 C. cold water
Directions
- Place a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in it 1 C. water, tamari, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Cook them until they start boiling while stirring all the time.
- Get a mixing bowl: Whisk in it the cornstarch with 1/4 C. of water.
- Add it to the saucepan and keep whisking it until it becomes thick.
- Adjust the seasoning of your teriyaki sauce then serve it.
- Enjoy.

Homemade Japanese House Jerky
Ingredients
- 5 lbs. beef flank steaks
- 2 C. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 C. teriyaki sauce
- 3 tsps liquid smoke
- 1 C. soy sauce
- 4 tsps onion powder
- 2 tsps garlic powder
- 1 tsp cayenne powder
- 4 tsps black pepper
- 1 tbsp sea salt
- 1 1/4 tbsps red pepper flakes
- 4 tbsps brown sugar
- 2 tbsps honey
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 3 bamboo skewers
- aluminum foil
Directions
- Place the beef steaks on a baking tray. Place them in the freezer for 25 min.
- Get a large mixing bowl: Mix in it the remaining ingredients to make the marinade.
- Place the steaks on a cutting board and slice them into 1/8 to 1/4 inch slices. Discard the fat from them.
- Add the steaks to the teriyaki marinade and mix them well. Place it in the fridge overnight.
- Use paper towels to pat the jerky slices dry. Thread them onto skewers.
- Arrange them on the middle oven rack after greasing it. Place a sheet of foil in the bottom to catch the drippings.
- Turn the oven to the lowest setting. Adjust the door so it can stay slightly open.
- Let them cook for 6 h until they become dry.
- Allow your jerky beef to cool down completely then pack it into sterilized jars.
- Enjoy.

Classic Teriyaki Chuck Burgers
Ingredients
- 1/4 C. soy sauce
- 1/4 C. honey
- 2 cloves garlic , pressed
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/3 C. mayonnaise
- 2 lbs. ground chuck
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 6 hamburger buns
Directions
- Before you do anything, preheat the grill and grease it.
- Get a mixing bowl: Whisk in it the soy sauce with honey, garlic, and ginger.
- Get a small mixing bowl: Whisk in it 2 tsp of the honey mixture with mayo. Place it aside.
- Add the beef with salt, and pepper to the remaining honey mixture. Mix them well.
- Shape the mixture into 6 patties. Coat them with a cooking spray.
- Place them on the grill and let them cook for 3 to 4 min on each side.
- Assemble your burgers with toppings of your choice then serve them warm.
- Enjoy.
